Paul Believes Hornets Could Deal Him

Chris Paul believes that the Hornets could trade him because of their financial situation.

New Orleans is set to be over the luxury tax, and might have to bite the bullet and deal away some big contracts.

"In this league, anything can happen," Paul told Pro Basketball News on Thursday. "I can be dealt."

Paul was then asked if he seriously thought he could be dealt.

"It's possible," he reiterated. "It's possible."

No, it is more likely to see someone like Peja Stojakovic or Tyson Chandler or Antonio Daniels shipped out to put them under the luxury tax cap. They may not get a good deal for most of these guys but they'll most likely rather do an unfair deal in which they dish out some of these guys than trade CP3.

Knicks Could Sign-And-Trade Lee For Boozer

The latest rumor involving the Knicks has the team signing-and-trading David Lee to the Jazz for Carlos Boozer.

Lee acknowledged earlier this week that he is getting frustrated with his situation as a free agent.

The move might be a questionable one for the Jazz, especially since they recently matched Portland's offer sheet for Paul Millsap, who is similar to Lee in a number of ways.

Both Boozer and Lee have been linked to a number of teams this offseason.

Actually that deal works for both parties.

While I loved the Boozer to the Bulls rumors I never understood why the Jazz would want Tyrus Thomas in the deal, he's not a Jerry Sloan type of player. Noah is more of "his type of guy".

David Lee on the other hand is perfect for Sloan and the Jazz and would be a pretty solid fit.

Boozer on the Knicks is also good as well because, like the Bulls, you get Boozer for a year, see what happens, then the money comes off the books and you still have a ton of wiggle room for 2010.

Sources: Chandler-Okafor deal in works

The Hornets and Bobcats are in advanced discussions on a trade that would send center Tyson Chandler to Charlotte in exchange for fellow big man Emeka Okafor, according to NBA front-office sources.

It was not immediately known if the teams are ready to complete the swap -- or if the deal would expand to include other players or teams -- but sources close to the process said talks featuring Chandler and Okafor as the main components have been ongoing since late last week.
