Based on the demo this is how i feel about it...

I came in with high hopes but low expectations. From the videos the moves seems jerky and kind of bad. The controls seemed hard. And i just didnt think i would be so pleased with it.

But when i played it, the presentation, animations, controls are all perfect. There is a definite learning curve on this game and early on you will finding yourself just button mashing finding something to work. the ground game is the hardest to get used to IMO. Its all timing and you have to do the right thing at the exact moment or you will get rocked.

When you knock the person out its a great feeling. I had a 12 second knock out with Liddell on a super punch and i literally jumped up and boasted around my room. Its a great feeling when you connect with a hit. I have mostly played with Liddell on Beginner, and Advanced difficulty. Shogun on Experienced. Advanced is tough and you have to know moves in order to compete. Beginner and Experienced you can get away with button mashing. Also if you can learn the ground moves fast you will be set because my hardest time is stopping Shogun when we are on the ground. He can move everywhere fast and you will end up just sitting there absorbing punches. I havent submitted anyone yet but I am usually playing with Liddell and thats not apart of his game.

So far i now have high expectations for this game and i think it can deliver. As long as online is smooth and the career mode is interesting i probably wont put this game down until NCAA 10.

Nah, it's the demo. The demo hits XBL on the 23rd. To play it earlier, you can download it and put it on a disk (look at Irish's thread) or you can preorder it at GameStop. The game comes out May 19th.

If you're working on the ground game, you should be using Rua.

I'm waiting for the real game to practice the ground game. The practice mode will come in handy.
