One persons experience doesn't make it factual, nor do all these dumb podcasts that are saying the same thing. There have been countless people here saying they use Kinect without issue, but you are only inclined to believe the people who side with you.

edit: you also have to take into account that people only report/bitch about things when they dont work, so unless EVERYONE who owns an xbone is complaining about it (when it's prob less than 10%), i'd take all these "reports" with a grain of salt. i do feel for garrett tho, he has done everything correctly and it still doesnt work, so perhaps his is faulty.

One person?!? You mean the IGN Xbox editor that does nothing but slob on the Xbox's knob, because, hey, that's his job? The same guy that was a chief editor at OXM Magazine for close to a decade? The same guy that hosted an XBox-centric podcast for five years? Yeah, why would anyone trust his statements based on a piece of Xbox technology when he actually makes a negative comment about it. That shoudl speak leagues when he spends 99% of his waking hours heaping praise on everything Xbox.

Even under your own admittance it's only accurate nine times out of ten. So knowing your fanboydom for the console it's probably more like 70%.

I'm not talking about ONE person. There is overwhelming information that supports my thoughts on what an innacurate POS the Kinect is, whereas you have the same handful of Xbox fanboys on this site that all say "It works perfectly fine for me. It must be you. LOLOLOLOLOLOL." You have Garrett who is about as impartial as they come. You have every gaming site, podcast, magazine article that mentions Kinect talk about how innacurate it is, except of course the obscure article you dig up from sites no one has heard of that suspiciosly only report on Xbox info. Weird.

So is it more probable that the thing is just slightly better than the last Kinect and still is practically garbage, with basically no games that utilize the technology (especially first party which is the most laughable-Way to support your console MS!), or is it the next greatest thing since sliced bread and works effortlessly like you and a few others here claim it to be?

That seems like a tough argument.

I was hoping this thing would work as advertised. It's been disappointment after disappointment with the thing. The novelty of switching to a tv broadcast wore off very quickly. It was probably the main reason I broke down and completely overspent on the thing. Heck knows that weren't (and still aren't) any must plays games on the console for me.

It's pretty sad that the PS4 Gold wireless headset recognizes voice commands leagues better (a feature Sony doesn't even seem to advertise) than the Kinect does on it's best day.

But I hear there is yet another major update coming to the XBone shortly that is supposed to update the controller (again?). Maybe it will add greater recognization and features to the Kinect?

Twigg, like I said, it's gonna be ten times easier to find people bitching about the Kinect not working for them then it will be to find people going "yea it works at a 90% clip". Also take into account the amount of exaggeration on both ends of the spectrum, for gods sake: Nothing is ever as bad or good as it seems.

I don't care what you or anyone you listen to says about this and the Kinect. I know how it performs for me and that's all I give a shit about, how it performs for anyone else has zero effect on me. I'm sorry you can't figure something so simple out, but maybe it's for the better. Just get rid of the damn thing and save yourself the apparent stress.

Quite frankly, I use this thing so much and with such ease that I hear you bitching and moaning and linking all this "evidence", that I think you and them are just too up your own ass to take the time to figure it out and would just rather blame the device than fine the true cause of the issue (i.e. Yourself).

I honestly don't understand how you are having issues, bc unless the device is defective (as it sounds for Garrett), YOU just aren't doing it right. And I know you'll take offense to all of this (which is a microcosm of your dealings with the Kinect and anyone who disagrees with you as a whole), but I'm honestly trying to help you, bc you clearly have issues....... With the Kinect.

How can you sign into your profile? I thought the only way you can sign in is using the camera? I still don't understand why auto-sign in isn't an option?

I have read some tweets that if you turn around and moon the camera it signs you in almost 100% of the time...

Because they want a reason to charge you $100 more for the Kinect........I just sign in using the sign-in button, no skin off my back.

You can tell it sign in as twigg via a voice command, or you can pick up the controller and sign in by scolling up to the top left of the home screen and signing in. Pretty sure there is an auto sign-in feature in the settings as well.
