The whole "trial" thing does seem way more logical and would explain why Mjr Nelson kept repeatedly phrasing it as being able to "try" the games. Like I was saying since the family circle thing was announced, it sounded way too good to be true and this is fucking M$ we're talking about people.

I'll say it again, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...especially when it's coming from a multi-billion dollar company with a track record of fucking gaming consumers in the butthole.

Fuck Microsoft right now. Between lying about the DRM and alluding that game sharing could do things that it couldn't, no way I'm buying the Xbox One. Can't trust what they might try and do in the future.

Wow. You know what? I never thought of it that way but I totally agree.

Oh how my heart bleeds for these developers being "slowly killed" by the used game market.

Leave the public statements to the PR team because clearly the devs can't stay out of their own way when given any kind of platform to speak from.

I've posted multiple times since the news. I've expressed my disappointment with MS backing off their original strategy, as it was far better than the current.

Also, I didn't realize gamestop was the only way to sell used games. I've sold countless games on EBay for $45+, especially games like COD and BF when I beat the single player because I never used the multi-player pass.

Open world games have a great resale value on auction sites as well. The whole narrative of getting $4-10 for brand new used games is perpetuated by the devs and people who are too lazy figure out how to sell things for more money.

I think KG posted it earlier, we'll likely never see what the actual plan was unless it is put back into action as some point since the capabilities are still there.

Kind of hard to believe anything they say after they lied about the XB1 being built around the DRM and connection and not being able to "flip a switch" on it.
