If this "debate" really is about an individual Super Bowl champion, then how would it be possible for any team to be ranked above the 1972 Dolphins? They are the only undefeated team in history.

When NFL Films produced their America's Game series, they asked a panel of experts to rank the Super Bowl champions. Guess what, the 1972 Dolphins were ranked #1.

I just don't get how Polian says one week that beating the Jets to stay on track for 16-0 isn't important and then the next week has Manning out there in a blizzard where he could have torn his knee up tossing balls to Wayne and Clark so that they could make some individual goals.

That just smacks of putting an individual goal ahead of a team goal and while I know that isn't how Polian would view it, I think most of the public would agree it was a little odd considering the way he folded the tents against a Jets team that the Colts might not want to see in the playoffs.

Nope. Wrong. You claimed that the 1972 Dolphins were the product of a favorable schedule and many narrow victories. I pointed out that nearly every Dolphin game resulted in a blowout Miami victory, AS EVIDENCED BY THEM LEADING THE NFL IN MOST POINTS SCORED AND FEWEST POINTS ALLOWED. I never said they were the best team ever or the only team to lead the NFL in offense and defense...I said it was odd that a team could be so lucky yet still lead the league in the two most significant statistical categories while racking up 11 blowout wins and going undefeated.
