Our own VSN's top 50 greatest NFL players of all time

I think this would be a great idea. As we know the NFL is doing their own list and as we know, there have been a lot of debatable and some stupid spots for certain players. I think it would be both fun and interesting to see where we have players fit in our list. We could do either a current or all time. Whichever sparks more interest really.

We will be voting on the top 50 current players in the NFL.
This is not solely on last year or years to come. Take all seasons into account how you weigh your seasons is up to you.

How this will be done: I will be using the same system that was used for the Top 100 Movies of all time. Take each list and assign points for each position. The #1 player on each posters list will get 50 points. #50 will get one. After combining the entire lists and rankings of each poster I will take the grand total of all the players and their points and make the official list.

All time could be a problem because many of the posters here are so young. Even the "older" guys are only generally in their 30's, with a few guys in their 40's. Not enough perspective.

And current players won't work either, because most of the posters here are dumbfucks.

Lawrence Taylor, Jim Brown, Jerry Rice, Deacon Jones, Peyton Manning.

Maybe bump Rice for another QB, pass rusher or RB.

The gap between Ed Reed and Troy P is too wide on your list, G-Men. Clay Mathews, is not the second best LB in the league. Aaron Rodgers is not the best QB. Roddy White is not the best WR. The lack of Big Ben and LaMarr Woodley on this list makes it incomplete!
