Instead of map packs, they just give you the maps whenever they have them ready. Plus, they could add a lot more content, such as new guns, skins, and etc.

If they are using the Blizzard model with WoW, they wouldn't. WoW has MAJOR expansions that cost money, but they frequently create new content, areas, weapons, and etc. without expansions.

I'm not saying they definitely will follow it to the letter, but there is a possibility.

I barely play it as it is, so I would never even contemplate paying to play online.

Would a subscription model even work for a FPS? I could see some people getting addicted to RPGs and the like because of how much you can make your character your own, but could you get addicted to MW2 to the extent of WoW? I doubt it, although I do see this one kid always playing MW2 when I walk past his room.

I will be buying them either way because maps like Highrise, Terminal and Rust are terrible as far as campers and glitchers, but I was wondering how this would be dealt with.

If someone who doesn't have the map pack joins a room or a party, it keeps that group of people from playing the new maps.
