However, a lot of people would pay. I imagine they would marginalize most of their audience and lose a lot of numbers, but still make a profit. I remember someone on here mentioned their friends who go to work, come home drink energy drinks and play COD all night every night. I bet there are a load of these people.

i'm losing interest in this game already, cant imagine shelling out money just to play it, they would need MAJOR improvements for me to even consider paying for this crap

Pretty much the truth, although EA is still doing bullshit with DLC. Hell, they released "soul packs" for Dante's Inferno.
 
I would consider it if it was a persistent thing, like that game PlanetSide for PC. Meaning, the fight never stops, everyone playing on the same map, if you log out, it keeps going, think MMORPG but as a FPS. COD isn't that type of game though, it'd require a complete overhaul and doing something like that would require more than just a year or two of development time, something I'm pretty sure Activision wouldn't give IW (or Treyarch). Plus, there is a reason that PlanetSide is the only MMOFPS game out there, still, after years of the MMO genre growing. Not much of a market for that kind of game with so many great free shooters out there, that incorporate the same concepts like leveling (ranking up), unlocking new skills (guns), etc.

If it's just like it is right now, no chance in hell. Even though I fucking love COD, and I don't really like the Halos and the BF:BCs of the world, but I'll play them before I pay to play COD the way it currently is...
