I really wish there was a way to convert old NCAA Classic rosters to the upcoming release this summer.


I hate to spend hundreds of hours inputting data all over again to get these teams yearly. Granted taking a break from the NCAA rosters for the last 2 years has me itching to see how the rosters would play out on the new IE for NCAA 14.


The only thing that bothers me is that EA did something to the ratings where they simply just aren't as effective as they were in NCAA 11. In NCAA 11 the ratings edits had a huge impact on the field and they tied into certain animations you would see much more stronger than they do in NCAA 12 or 13.


I've got so much information stored away for the 1990's rosters just waiting to see how NCAA 14 turns out before I decide if creating classic rosters will be worth time this year. Those teams of the 90's absolutely must have the Option Offense to work in NCAA 14 and we all know this has been a broken aspect of gameplay since the PS2 days IMO.


I went back and watched a few videos from NCAA 11 and this was one of my favorite classic player highlights.....It shows Dallas Clark of Iowa making a sick one handed grab on a pass from Chuck Long. In the video you will even see how the pocket forms much better because of the Pass Block Footwork ratings being in NCAA 11.....which was taking out of NCAA 13 for some dumb reason by EA and with the OL strength ratings being reduced down you won't see any of that stupid animation where DL are flipped over their heads or detroyed during their pass rush.

So true, PM. They've put so much emphasis on presentation (and not even done it that well), and the gameplay has just suffered. I get it: they are going for the causal gamer, the #s are much bigger than hardcore. Still dont have to like it though....

As for me, once Im done with this '76-'85 set, Im done with rosters. Too much work.

Judging from my few games with the Demo it appears on the surface they have finally made some progress with gameplay in NCAA 14. I would consider this version the best since NCAA 11 in terms of overall gameplay. Looks like we don't have to edit QB's to make them run with a purpose or Option teams now. They (EA) did remove a few ratings that I'm disappointed in mainly for the OL (Blocking footwork) but overall I can complain this a game I think will play some beautiful football for those who like to create Classic teams in NCAA 14. As for the default rosters EA for some reason still thinks there are 1000 Super Stars in College Football every year.....That's the reason why I just can't enjoy playing the game with their rosters too many guys running around on the field with godly ratings assigned to them for no logical reason at all.

Also, you should look into ways to try and convert your NCAA 13 rosters into NCAA 14 that way you don’t have to re-start the entire file all over again if you figure out how to transfer it to NCAA 14.

How I wish I was tech savvy like that. If anyone has any clue as to how to do that, or where I might find out how to do that, Im all ears.....
