Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne just wrapped up his session with the media at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, and he re-told the story of how Ravens free safety Ed Reed killed Wayne's pet snake.

While Wayne was a rookie with the Colts in 2001, he left his nine-foot pet green Burmese python named "Law" with Reed, who was a senior at the University of Miami and Wayne's roommate. One day, according to Wayne, he got a text message from Reed, saying, "Law's dead."

"He killed my snake," Wayne recalled. "He neglected my snake."

Despite that transgression, Wayne and Reed remain tight. Wayne said he and Reed talk about three times a week, spending about 30 minutes on the phone each time talking about life, football and anything else. "It's probably too much time" on the phone with Reed, Wayne said.
Wayne said he and Reed have an arrangement where he will take Reed out to dinner this weekend. (If the Colts travel to Baltimore, dinner is on Reed.) Wayne said he will broach the topic of "Law" during dinner.

"He was supposed to reimburse me with a new one," said Wayne, who was prodded to rehash the story by Indianapolis Star columnist Bob Kravitz. "He hasn't done that yet. Thanks for bringing that up because I'll be sure to bring it up with him this week."

INDIANAPOLIS -- Some Colts fans are fuming over comments made by a manager at a downtown Indianapolis bar.

Mike Augustinos, the general manager of Howl At The Moon, a piano bar on East Georgia Street, posted an invitation online for Baltimore Ravens fans to watch Saturday's playoff game, 6News' Renee Jameson reported.

But what has Colts fans angry is that the Maryland-native didn't stop there.

"It sucks living in Colts country but I AM A DIEHARD RAVENS fan. The good thing is I am the boss!" he wrote. "For anyone that has never been to Indianapolis, their tailgating is horrible. There are no big parking lots anywhere. Everyone always goes out to the bars."

On Thursday, Augustinos posted an apology on the Howl at the Moon Web site -- which features a picture of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning at the bar -- saying that his words do not reflect the views of the bar.

"I apologize to people that don't believe that we are trying to cater to the Colts fans. I got in a little over my head," Augustinos said.

But members of the Blue Crew aren't quite ready to forgive and forget.

"You're biting the hand that feeds you," said organization Vice President Eric Griffin. "There's 364 non-Raven days that he's going to need to fill that bar. I can honestly say … I doubt anyone from our organization will go again."

Augustinos said he had received some threats, but would not elaborate.

A Facebook.com group launched to boycott Howl at the Moon had more than 1,800 members Thursday night.

The chain has 11 locations nationwide, including one in Baltimore, where Augustinos once worked.

There continues to be bad blood between Colts and Ravens fans, fueled in part by the fact that the old Baltimore Colts bolted for Indianapolis in 1984.

A few points here

-Howl at the Moon is one of the most popular bars downtown, so I highly doubt Blue Crew wanting to boycott it will do anythign

-I guess he doesn't know about the two huge parking lots next to Conseco that are littered with RV's and tailgaters

-Baltimore fans need to get over the Colts leaving Baltimore...it was done for good reason, and besides you are in the same position as Indy in having Art Modell take the Browns away from Cleveland.

I understand the way they left was bs but I think it may be time to let it go considering they now have the Ravens [who are a fine franchise]

My understanding was that Baltimore was trying to claim imminent domain on the Colts and Irsay bolted before they could do it

It's amazing how much better he is than Ron Meeks just because he's willing to at least do SOMETHING other than the same shit every single play. I love it when it's third down and we have 9 guys at the line of scrimmage. So refreshing, and, surprise, it usually works!

There are no words for the pure hatred I have for Mark Clayton. It's simmered all year but it's boiling now. If that piece of dogshit is on this team next year and a starter I will seriously consider NOT renewing my season tickets. I've rarely seen a starting WR that gets SINGLE COVERAGE all the damn time be as invisible as he is in so many games. He's entirely worthless and has no value whatsoever to the Ravens.

We absolutely must explore trading for Marshall or Boldin, if they can't do that, they need to sign TO. This season and last have shown they've gone as far as they can with a receiving group that is arguably the worst in the NFL.

They are pretty bad. As meh as Flacco looked, he's not bad. Mason is reliable but other than that you have Ray Rice and not much else.
