Makes some sense ... wondered what everybody else thought

- I wonder if the Colts have thought about switching Mathis and Freeney's positions on pass downs so Freeney will be cutting and turning in on his healthy foot instead of on his injured one . The Spin would still be an issue but this way he could still cut sharply inside without any real pain

This is pressuming that he can play of course .

Interesting idea. Either way I'm sure the Saints have come up with a way to help Bushrod out.

I don't know how much I like that because you're potentially decreasing the effectiveness of two players instead of just one. I guess you could argue that not having Freeney on the field at all also limit's Mathis' effectiveness though. So it'd come down to how comfortable Mathis is playing on the other side.

They showed Freeney today at the media day limping around with no cast on. I think he said he's gonna try to play w/o taking any shots to decrease the pain, don't know how that's gonna work. I also think he confirmed the ligament tear which makes me irritated at the Colts' injury reporting games.

I think we got this now that freeney is out. I figured the only way we win before is a shoot out and even then it would be close because they would know we would have to pass, but now with freeney being hurt that bad I think we can take this title.

It's a weird game for me b/c I dislike neither team. I like Peyton and I like Brees.

I'll be rooting for the Saints but at the same time, it would be awesome if Manning can win a 2nd title.

I'm hoping for a close game either way whether it's offensive or defensive. I think the Saints defense can make more big plays which is why I'm picking them.
