the difference would be that troy was a 19 year old kid who didnt know better, this guy is a NFL vet. the guy didnt call fair catch, but if he wanted to blow him up he should have waited for the ball to get there. the rule is kick catch interference and you dont have to call fair catch and must be aloowed an opportunity to field the ball before you can be hit or impeded. he got fined, he got suspended and the other dude is ok, so all is well. it's not like we are talking about that hit warren sapp put on that guy from green bay...

It was dirty and cheap. The ball had not even hit the ground yet and he LAUNCHED himself into Clifton Smith. He was looking to lay the boom. Funny thing is that when he was ejected...he was starting to walk to the tunnel before a Panthers assistant told him to put his helmet on. People were ready to pelt that SOB with everything they had...and he ruined it by putting on his helmet.

Fact is though, it doesn't really matter what we think. The NFL thought it was dirty enough to suspend him for a game. So, he was ejected from the game, suspended for the next and forfeits his next game check. That's a good way to send a message.

They weren't running up the score. They were beating a team with no heart or desire to play the game.

Now I didn't agree with the decision to send Brady out there for the first drive in the second half, but that's besides the point.
