I agree with the boom/bust analysis.
I'd take him on my team, and if he didnt pan out at QB, i'd find something for him to do.
Josh Cribbs, early slash Kordell Stewart, Brad Smith, you can point to a bunch of college QB's who at some point carved out a niche (big or small, to varying degrees) in the NFL.
Even Reggie Bush, who turned out to be a mediocre HB, has turned out to be a great PR & a pretty good slot WR, along with spelling at HB occassionally.
You can tell me an athlete the caliber of Tebow, with his natural leadership abilities and guts, dosent have a place on an NFL roster.
All those guys though, you knew even in college what they were going to be in the pros. Cribbs and Smith were heralded as WR prospects in college, not a single team drafted them with the intention of trying them out at QB.
Reggie Bush was regarded as a change of pace back. Nobody expected him to be an every down sort of guy but felt he would help the team in a lot of ways from being a PR, slot guy, passes out of the backfield.
The problem I see with Tebow is he's an ultra tweener. Nobody can really agree on what position he should play. I could see a team drafted him thinking he's one thing, then switching, etc. A team like Jacksonville will almost be forced to play him at QB, even though it's not his ideal position.
To me, that's one of his biggest problems he's too much of a tweener, there's a number of different positions he'd be average to above average at, but no one position where he can carve out a niche.
