I beat Far Cry 3 last night. This is a huge accomplishment for me, because the last game that I beat was Contra on Nintendo, back when I was a kid. When it comes to video games I have a short attention span at times.

simple story....you are a bunch of kids from California that get kidnapped on a tropical island. You escape and try to free your friends. There is some underlying story with the main character though...I am not sure what it is. From what I hear it is disappointing...but whatever. Game is fun along the way.

I love driving those beat up cars off cliffs into water.:hodorpls:

I just beat Spec Ops: The Line and I thought It had a pretty awesome story. very different from most FPS game plot to them and I very much liked the change of pace from the same old plot. The only thing I didn't think was amazing was the gameplay, it was just kinda Meh.

LOL. I thought I had ADD. Congrats though. I think I'm just about to open up the second island.

Yeah, I loved it. I'm pretty sure I gave it my Most Underrated Game of 2012 award on the podcast. Great fucking game.

As for me, I finally got that stupid rock distraction trophy in FC3 and also the one for killing four enemies with one explosion. The funny thing is that it only looked like three enemies, unless there was one hiding around a corner that I couldn't see. I still need that fucking 70m bow kill. Does anyone know if you can use an explosive or fire arrow to do it? I'm guessing not.

As of tonight, I've beaten Playthrough 1 with all 5 characters in Borderlands 2.

Out of all of them, Zero was the biggest pain as The Warrior was at 32 and I just hit 30 with most of my points in Sniper, Critical and Damage perks.

Which would have been okay except all my other characters could ignore the Volcanic Crystalisks while I ran around having to kill them with Zero :smh:

Got it done though.

Finished Mark of the Ninja. What a blast. Some of the moves I was busting out at the end made me feel straight up badass

I'm not adoring it like most people seem to. I'm only on the third stage but I think it's about as frustrating as any other stealth game can be. Some of the moves you can pull off are cool and freezing time is a great mechanic, but I'm not in love with MotN like everyone else is.

I did finally unlock that damn Taxophilite trophy (kill an enemy from 70m away with the bow).

There is a bow in MotN?

I think the game would have been way easier if I wasn't constantly restarting to ensure I had zero alarm triggers. Probably would have shaved like an hour off my playthru

Far Cry 3 is completely done. The campaign is done and so is the co-op. I also got my 14th

I did the same thing, but for me it just started to click pretty easily. You also get some abilities towards the end that are just fucking awesome.

I really loved that game. I hope that it picks up for you. Just something about its simplicity combined with its challenging situations just really did it for me (I 100%ed it on 360 and got it on Steam too when it was on sale), and the New Game plus is great in an Arkham City style way (much harder, but you keep almost everything).

Beat Dawn of War 2 this evening in co-op with a buddy. I know it's a couple years old now but it was really a refreshing change of pace for a RTS type game, felt like it was more of an action-RPG game than what you would typically think of an RTS game. Going to move on to the two expansions Retribution and Chaos Rising now.

Beat Dawn of War 2 this evening in co-op with a buddy. I know it's a couple years old now but it was really a refreshing change of pace for a RTS type game, felt like it was more of an action-RPG game than what you would typically think of an RTS game. Going to move on to the two expansions Retribution and Chaos Rising now.

How much of a change from the first Dawn of War was it? I actually really enjoyed the first, and if its close, I might get the second, though my RTS backlog is through the roof, and the new Rome Total War is out this year.

I honestly don't know how to describe my time with this. Simply amazing.

Met six companions along the way. I thought it was the coolest thing ever when I came across my first companion, then when we got separated I was all :crying:. If you haven't played it yet, I strongly suggest you do so immediately. Definitely an experience that you need to have before this console generation is over. The game is beautiful and the music is something else.
