Post your team's 2011 mock draft

As a Buffalo Bills fan this is how I'd like the draft to work out

1st round (5th overall)- Robert Quinn DE/OLB North Carolina
Even despite the year long suspension, I feel Quinn is still the most elite pass rush talent in the draft. In my opinion he is more than capable enough to play as a 3-4 OLB in a role similarly to the one Shawne Merriman played early in his career. He also would anchor our defensive line should the Bills decide to go back to the 4-3. For a team severely lacking a pass rush, it's hard to argue against this selection.

2nd round- Demarcus Love OT Arkansas
This team has been lacking a solid LT since Jason Peters decided to stop caring. Love is a big agile blocker who has proved he can be capable in the running and passing game at the highest level of college football.

3rd round- Christian Ballard DE Iowa
You can never have too many quality players on the 3-4 defensive line.

4th round- Andy Dalton QB TCU
Proven winner who can come in as a spot starter should Fitzpatrick falter in 2011. Career backup while we hope for Andrew Luck/Matt Barkley in 2012.

5th round- Jeron Johnson SS Boise State
I'm not sure how much longer Donte Whitner is going to remain a starter on this team. Johnson is capable of stepping into the starting lineup as a rookie if need be.

6th round- Alex Wujciak ILB Maryland
Solid tackler who will provide excellent depth in the 3-4 defense

7th round- James Brewer OT Indiana
Big powerful blocker who can open up holes on the offensive line for our speedier backs.

Quinn is much more athletic and skilled as a passrusher than Ayers ever will be.

Well since Atlanta will have the 32nd pick it is hard to predict, but some help along either line would be ideal.

And if A.J. Green could end up opposite of Mohamed Massaquoi, that would be perfect.

I'll just do 4 rounds for the Jaguars.

1st Round - Ryan Kerrigan DE Purdue
Fits the Gene Smith mold. He's a senior, a team captain, and a hard worker. The Jaguars need a consistent pass rush to help the secondary out. Mincey has filled in pretty well for when Kampman has gone down and I think Lane will be a good DE too, but they are better suited for a rotational role. We need a DE who will bring pressure on every play and fit the high motor guys of Alualu and Pot Roast.

2nd Round - Jimmy Smith CB Colorado
Another senior player who plays hard. Jimmy would be Rasheans replacement and possibly a good one. He has good size and is a good press corner and has great speed for a 6'2" corner. Also he can tackle which is desperately needed in our secondary.

3rd Round - Kelvin Sheppard MLB LSU
Team leader both on and off the field for the Tigers. A senior linebacker who has started 3 out of his 4 years for LSU, this will go over huge for Gene Smith. Kirk Morrison was Gene's second option this offseason, as he made several attempts to move up in the draft and get Sean Lee. Kirk is a free agent after this year and the Jaguars will try to continue to build this defense through the draft. Kelvin is a tackling machine but also is good at dropping back in coverage, something the Jaguars linebackers are terrible at.

4th Round - Pat Devlin QB Delaware
We have seen that Quarterbacks usually don't fly off the shelves in the NFL draft (Clausen, McCoy for example) this is why I think Devlin will be sitting there in the 4th round. He is a team leader for the Blue Hens and has a pretty good skill set. I think he could learn the offense while Garrard gets the nod again in 2011 and possibly take over by 2013. It's worth the risk to take a good character QB in a later round who has a chance to eventually take over.

4th Round (New Orleans pick) - Jermale Hines S Ohio State
Senior safety for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Jermale Hines seems like he would be a steal at this point. Hines excels as a great tackler who isn't afraid to come down in run support. He has NFL-ready size and adequate speed. He would need to work on his pass defense, but he wouldn't have to get thrown right into the starting lineup. Down the road though he could be an important piece in the secondary.

Detroit Lions
1st Round - Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU - If Peterson is there, he is hands down the pick for the Lions. General Manager Martin Mayhew say the strategy is to take the "best player on the board," and Peterson also fills a huge need. We should have a top five pick, and teams like Carolina, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Arizona, Denver and San Fran are not in the market for a corner that high in the draft. He is a little like Suh, special player at a position we need, and also a position not usually taken high in the draft. He could make an immediate impact, returning punts as well.

2nd Round - Greg Jones, OLB, Michigan State - Again, one of the best players available in a position we desperately need. I am a big fan of the "pain train" Zack Follett, but he is not a starter. We haven't had much luck with second round picks in the past, but Jones seems to be a pretty safe pick.

3rd Round - Ricky Stanzi, QB, Iowa - The Lions have shown that they have no faith in Drew Stanton and I do not expect to see him back next year. Stanzi's stock is tough to figure at the moment, but I could see the Lions potentially moving up for a Quarterback with eight picks in this year's draft. Strangely, I think Stanzi plays similar to Stanton, although his decision making seems a little better.

4th Round - Clint Boling, OG, Georgia - Versatile lineman that will probably end up playing guard in the NFL. Good pass-blocker, gives us an option at guard instead of Stephen Peterman. Maybe not right away, but I think the Lions will address the offensive line within the first few rounds in the draft this year.

5th Round - Steven Friday, DE, Virginia Tech - Kyle Vanden Bosch is not getting any younger and Cliff Avril cannot seem to stay healthy. While we have some depth on the defensive line, Friday is a pass-rusher whose stock has been rising all season. A good combine could bump him higher, but the 5th round seems right.

Far too early to make projections at this point.

Would be very satisfied with Carimi and/or Pouncey.

All bets are off if Peterson is available.

Round 1: Aaron Williams CB, Texas
It would seem that everyone and there grandma knows that we don't have the greatest corners in the league. With Foxworth and Webb the only 2 corners to have contracts after this year, Ozzie will address the corner position often and early. If he doesn't do it through Free Agency, I can see him taking a corner late in the first round. Aaron Williams, Janoris Jenkins, and Dowling should all be there.

Round 2: Jeremy Beal DE/(3-4 OLB), Oklahoma
I see Beal being very capable of dropping back in passing situations and bringing the heat during the Blitz. With Sergio Kindle as a huge question mark after fracturing his skull, Beal would be brought in to further add depth to a aging defense. 3 years in a row the Ravens would be drafting a DE (Kruger-Kindle-Bael*).

Round 3: Ronald Johnson WR, USC
Ozzie doesn't dip his hand into the USC talent pool very often, so Johnson may be a little stretch, but if all pieces fall like they should the Ravens will only have 2 receivers under contract in 2011 (Boldin, Reed). Johnson at worst would plug in as our slot receiver and would most likely immediately take KR/PR duties away from Ladarius Webb and David Reed.

Round 4: Darrius Morris OT/OG, Temple
Ravens may be in need of depth or even a new right tackle depending on Jared Gaither. Morris looks to be a Guard/RT hybrid with good strength and average foot work. He looks to me like a Marshall Yanda esque player.


Round 5: Mario Butler CB, Georgie Tech
To further help rebuild our depleted secondary the Ravens will reach out and grab Mario Butler. Not the quickest corner, but if he can adapt to the Ravens defense he could be a stellar nickle and dimer.

Round 6: Zach Hurd OG, UConn
Ozzie using his BPA theory, will probably look to build depth in a injury plagued offensive line. Zach Hurd has all the intangibles and may be a steal in round 6. Huge offensive lineman (6'7" 330lbs) could eventually see playing time late in 2011 (if there is one... :smh season.

Round 7: Da'Rel Scott HB, Maryland
(Homer pick) By round 7 we should have plugged most if not all our holes. So our 7th round pick would primarily be a feeler pick, just to feel a prospect out. Not likely to make the 53 man roster and Scott will probably find himself either on the practice squad or on another team by the start of the 2011 season.

IMO, Hines is going to be a very good NFL player.

Point blank, he's one of the best open field tacklers in the country. I honestly don't recall a time where he's gotten beat in a 1 on 1 in the open field. He's not gonna get 8 picks per year, but he's really developed some solid coverage skills and they've been on display this year. He's got great intangibles as well, being that he pretty much coached up our entire secondary this year when we got hit hard by the injury bug (We were one injury away from having a walk-on step in), and he's such a team oriented player, starting games at OLB, SS, the star, and FS.

I'm hoping since GB lost to Detroit they lose their last 3 games to help their draft stock. If they do they will be in 14-17 range. If they could get Gabe Carimi that would be ideal, but I would also like to see them stock up on pass rushers.

As far as a mock, I have no fucking clue.

1. De'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson - I love Luck, Green, Peterson here, but it's hard to take a stab at where a new coaching regime will go. So if I ran the Panthers I'd prob go here and try and see if we can become a good defensive team centered around a physical monster at DE (A La Julius Peppers). The ability to have multiple pass rushers will be huge to helping the entire defense.

3. Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami - Not sure if he will drop into the 3rd round, but he would probably have to be the pick, if you pass on Luck, which I think the Panthers will then that means you want to see if Clausen(Or a vet we sign) are capable of becoming starting NFL QB's. Hankerson is a bit inconsistent but makes big time plays in the clutch.

4. Kendrick Ellis, DT, Hampton - Look for a huge body to upgrade a really undersized interior d-line. coming out of this draft the Panthers believe they have players capable of coming together for a Julius Peppers and Kris Jenkins type of duo.

5. Da'Rell Scott, RB, Maryland/Roy Helu, RB, Nebraska - I really think that Deangelo Williams becomes trade bait after being franchised in the offseason. The Panthers seem to draft a HB around here every single year.

6. Chris Culliver, CB, South Carolina - I think that corner will be addressed, Richard Marshall is in a contract year, Captain Munnerlyn has looked good but there is a lack of depth.

7. Weslye Saunders, TE, South Carolina - I don't think he will be available here, but his stock has been rising and dropping, if he's here I'd like to see this happen.
