This guy sucks, but it's cool to get to see this old school open-wheel Lotus in action at Monza...

One of the biggest things that stands out to me is the sound of the cars. Not only do the engines sound great, but the rest of the car noises just bring that extra emersion. Like when the car slows to go around a corner you can really hear the car rattling, it's just amazing in my opinion. Just the little extras that can make a good game great.

Yes, all of the videos I have seen have been on PC. As great as it looks on PC, you'd never get everyone here to get it for that platform, understandably so.

That last video reminded me of Forza, but with actual working brakes.

It's actually pretty interesting how this game is being developed...

WMD (World of Mass Development) is a new platform for games creation from the award-winning developer Slightly Mad Studios that allows:

1. Developers to submit ideas to an active gaming community, raise the funds needed to develop them, get continual feedback from community team members that can play work-in-progress builds, use the WMD Portal to promote their project, get help from other developers, and ultimately launch their game to an eagerly-awaiting audience
2. Players to browse available projects and join any they are interested in, download and play regular builds of the game, participate in discussion & polls, speak directly to the developers, and eventually earn money back for their contribution when the game is released

WMD is therefore a unique prospect for both developers looking to raise funds for their projects and gamers that want to get involved in exciting upcoming titles.

So all these videos are people that have bought into the community at some level and they are continually testing the game out and giving feedback on their forum. All of these builds/videos are in fact on the PC.

While I definitely wouldn't like this style of development for most games, I think it works perfectly for a sim-racer. The community gets to give continuous feedback on the game they are they are already playing and then the finished product should be very polished.

Interesting that they decided to add that one since the BMWs for GT2 are changing to the Z4 this year.
