Questions for EA devs on NCAA '13? Post them in here.

I just got off of the phone with EA's PR department and they are going to get us 15-20 minutes with one of the devs for NCAA (hopefully Alex Howell) to discuss the upcoming release on the VSN Podcast. What are some questions that you would like to have answered on NCAA '13?

How have the servers been fixed compared to last year where the OD servers led to ODs being unplayable.

Will passing be overpowered this year?

Will Atlas still be the best player on the site this year?

I wish I could think of some softballs to toss up for these guys to help with their marketing campaign. I've played this game every year since it's inception but nothing comes to mind. I'm kind of sour after last season's OD freeze ups and broke ass CPB. I don't know how cordial VSN wants to be with EA but just remember they've been doing this Game Changers program and interacting with the community for quite a few years now and this is where we are at. I'd always contend that community sites are best if they maintain an independent position with respect to EA's involvement. Otherwise, part of the deal is that they like to control the message, which is why OS is the way that it is.

Assuming it is with Howell, I'll just stick to stuff he'd definitely be in a position to answer.

Why can't custom rosters be used in RtG?

Is it possible to patch in an option to disable 'Reaction Time?' And as a follow up, did they realize by mapping it to the left trigger, that it disables the ability to strafe?

Custom quarter length, y u no add this option?

I don't believe that at all. PastaPadre tells EA where he sees issues with their games all of the time and they include him on everything. You can maintain your journalistic integrity and still have a relationship with a developer. You just have to be respectful in how you discuss areas of concern. That means moving away from the past MM/VSN modus operandi where idiots would blast the dev's mothers lineage or ask for their wife's n00dz while posting in all caps that EA sux0r. Those days are gone :yep:

That's fine and understandable but it's not like the tough questions ever get addressed in these Q&A sessions. You think any questions will get fielded about fixing the CPB or whether the OD have game crashing transfer fails in NCAA 13? Considering last year's product, these are completely valid questions. Bottom line is that we're going to have to wait until the reviews come out to get reliable answers about OD and CPB.

Question/Statement for EA:

I start by saying that I am a very casual NCAA/Madden player. I'm not an online Madden/NCAA type of guy (I suck), so with the changes to Madden's franchise mode I'm concerned about the future of NCAA as a whole. Madden seems to be going in an online only focus and that concerns me with NCAA.

This is something that has pissed me off for a long time.

It's funny considering you'd think this feature would be more important for NCAA than Madden. Seeing as a lot more college players get playing time constantly rotated throughout a game more than in the pro's.

What changes were made to how the CPU executes the option offense this year? In the past, playing a CPU option team was an automatic win because the team can never run the offense successfully.

Will numerous Tuners be available this year? These were all but forgotten about in NCAA 12.

Thats because players have too high rating in Play Rec, Pursuit, Acceleration.

I would like to know is Auto-Subs have been fixed(It would occasionally sub, but would go no further than the #2 player on the depth chart)
