This explains it all to me. Around the Horn and PTI talked about the Rangers/Devils, and of course, it was with a bunch of guys who know little to nothing about hockey. Hell the only time anything gets into PTI about hockey is either this stuff, or when it is one of their "Happy trails" things. You don't see them talking about the big game between Team A and Team B like they do every night for every other sport.
What did TSN have, well on Off The Record, they had Rob Ray & Lyndon Byers, two tough guys, two fighters, talking about how this was needed, and why this happened, and how the Rangers couldn't just allow the Devils to put out their 4th line in their building on a night where they could clinch a playoff spot.
Now as has been the case in every thread, it is the typical PTI guys coming in and telling the hockey people how it should be.
And since we want to bring up football

Why is that type of block allowed? That could do huge amounts of damage, and it is way over the top in terms of what is actually needed. The guy didn't need to be laid the fuck out. I'm sure that is not how they learned to block, and one could even say, that isn't a block at all. And don't give me this "it is needed to win because he is stopping a guy from getting to the guy with the ball" shit, because that could have easily been done if the guy just got in front of him. Didn't need to be laid out.
