Hasn't he been injured for most of the season? A lot of these guys have made enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. Especially guys like Reed. Many people forget that he almost had a career-ending neck injury a couple years ago that started the whole retirement thoughts in his head. I know he's been complaining of nerve problems in his neck and shoulders since the injury.

If his body is really that banged up, why not retire? No sense in risking your body hurting every day for the rest of your life just to play another season. I'm sure he has enough money to live off of.

Because of pride and love. It's hard to retire from the league. Look at Favre. That fucker has retired 43 times. Still can't stay away. It's hard to retire when you feel like you can still be a top player in the league.

I don't understand why the commentators were saying Ray Lewis had hit a "defenceless receiver" and that Collie had dropped the ball before he was hit. To me it looked as if the hit is what had caused the drop, I saw Lewis lead with his arm from the camera view looking into the endzone from where the QB stood.

Ed Reed is the definition of a playmaker. I really like this guy, even though the Ravens are pretty irrelevant to me (except when they play the Steelers). I hope he doesn't retire, but it's his life, his career, his body and ultimately his decision. I wish him the best of luck either way.

He's got to be tired of leading that team into the playoffs every year just to see Flacco and Harbaugh throw it away the last two years (literally). I mean, why the hell are they throwing the ball?
