Basically, the best version is on PC at the moment as far as framerate and graphics are concerned (no shit)...

I AM worried about that 17 hour game time Gerstman put in with all of the story and most of the side-stuff finished.

Co-op or not, that slides in around how long it took me to beat RE6 and Dead Space 3 with Twigg. :smh:

Also, you can reach LvL 50 without collecting all the glowing nodes around the city as well.

I'll still buy it so I can "complete" my Boss' story but there's going to be a need to patch some of these bugs (I blame Deep Silver for rushing this out before GTAV hits, regardless of sales or not) and DLC is a MUST if you want more play time in Virtual Steelport.

Yeah it's definitely making me feel a little better about deciding to go with Splinter Cell next week over this. Was having a couple second thoughts, but now I'm feeling pretty good about the decision. Will be a perfect early October pickup after I finish GTA 5 and before the storm of games comes out late October and November.

However, I HAVE to have a dumb fun game like SR3 (and SR4 come Tuesday) to fill in those times when I just want to goof off and do nothing for a few hours.

What I wish Volition would do is put out a level editor (and not just the code like PC editors have) like inFamous 2 so I can make more Tank Mayhem missions.

Shit, just give me the entire City of Steelport but with zombies and a tank and I have an afternoon right there to have fun.

I have not looked, but it would be freaking sweet if it were a Steamworks game (for me at least, you still need a computer that won't burst into flames at the mere mention of playing a modern game on it).

After just DLing my "free" copy of SR3 from PS+ onto my system for shits and giggles... I can see why PC nuts prefer digital.

Game's running so much smoother than it did for my disc copy.

Now if I had the means to get SR4 for PC, I would get some of these good graphics. :homer:

The ability to turn your gassed-up SMG into a RUBBER BAND GUN?!

It's annoying that you can't keep the Camera on all the time when you want to take screenshots in-game but I took a few shots when I could.

 

Finally seeing how BIG Zinyak actually is compared to the Boss (especially since they're the biggest member of the Saints, height-wise...) was enlightening.

 

Also seeing the Pancake QTE eating scene was worth the money for the game alone.

I would assume it is better....seems like they only sent out Xbox review copies. I guess its cheaper? Blue ray vs DVD?

It is one of those things though that if you have never seen the game running at 60 FPS...you may not notice it as much.

Yes and no. Normally I agree, as I really didn't notice how bad Far Cry or Skyrim were on the 360 in comparison to PC because I didn't really see the PC. In this case though, it blatantly affected gameplay in multiple instances with the severe drop in framerate. I think it's more noticable in this case because it's such a fast moving game that has you bouncing all over EVERYWHERE at crazy speeds, and particularly with orb collecting, it's super hard to land with precision when the framerate totally betrays you.

Yeah....at this point playing these high demand titles on 6-8 year old graphics cards is just insane. I amazed these games even work at all. The gap between the PC and console is so big now. It used to be just graphics but now these consoles games are studdering and becoming hard to play. Fucking NCAA on the 360 is painful.

Yeah, it's been crazy for me diving back into PC gaming and just noting the comparisons between games like SR3 and Sleeping Dogs, which are even a little older than stuff like SR4 and the game I'm REALLY curious about, Grand Theft Auto V. I just do not see how GTAV can look as good as what I've seen on a PS3 or 360.

Anyway, sorry to change the topic. I'm thinking of picking this up tonight via getting some Steam Wallet cards with Best Buy rewards points.
