Is anyone going to see this? I am going tonight because I know someone that knows someone that got me and a few friends free passes to an early screening.
 
It definitely looks good I just got the feeling that it's gonna be one of those movies with a real good preview and lots of potential but will suck.
 
Read the book two weeks ago, so pumped to see this movie.. Leo is on a short list of actors who I will expect a great movie from every time.
 
I saw it Wednesday night, and I thought it was really good. The previews don't really give you an idea of what the movie is about. The end kind of dragged on, but not in a bad way. I was just wondering how they would end the movie, but I was happy with it because it leaves you wondering.
 
I'm honestly tired of seeing Leonardo Dicaprio overacting in every fucking movie. He's less and less believable. I only liked him in The Departed.

He was fantastic in Blood Diamond I thought, solid in The Departed and Catch me if you Can, and I kind of liked him in This Boy's Life. But I think he's extremely overrated and I can't believe the success of some of his movies. (Didn't like Titanic or Gangs of New York at all.)

That said I'm going to see this very soon.

You wanna smack? Gangs of New York and This Boys Life were good movies. He plays his part.

The ending of Blood Diamond is a fine example of Leo's overacting, which he has been known to do often. One of my favorite actors, though. ''This Boys Life'' was awesome.

About time it gets some mention. ''Thanks'' worthy.

You wanna talk about overrated - talk about Christian Bale. That dude is the most overrated actor of our time. Outside of American Psycho, he hasn't given a performance worth mentioning.

the Machinist is good stuff, too, but overacting and overrated is reserved for CB.
 
Seeing this tomorrow night or on Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to it, but not getting my hopes up or expecting anything Oscar-quality... There's a reason this release was pushed back to early 2010. It's probably not gonna be that great, but solid and entertaining nonetheless.

I'm expecting a solid 6-7 out of 10.

The Machinist is a good movie, but don't let Christian Bale's appearance fool you into thinking he did an amazing acting job. Acting wise, his role wasn't that difficult to play, and if there's one thing Bale can play it's a very quiet serious dude with anger/mental problems.
