Sources: Garrard current favorite to start for Miami, Tannehill "not in the running"

I never understood the rush to move on from Matt Moore, he played great when that team got hot last season for a lame duck coach and an empty stadium. He should have been given at least one season with some weapons added in this last draft to show that maybe he was good enough to get this team to the playoffs.

There were plenty of options at #8 overall for the Dolphins, including trading down, which could have helped their team to get better THIS YEAR but instead they rolled the dice on a converted WR who put up big numbers in a spread offense playing in the Big 12, a conference where just about every QB throws for 4,000 yards and 35+ TDs.

This team is going to be at the bottom of the AFC East for awhile in my opinion, especially since it seems like the guys in Buffalo have finally figured out what they're doing for the first time since they gave Rob Johnson $1 billion dollars.

On defense they've got studs on the line in Dareus, Kyle and Mario Williams plus a serviceable guy in Kelsay. They added Mark Anderson to the rotation as well and he looked pretty resurgent for the Pats at times last season. The LBs are average to declining but the secondary has a couple of guys who have shown they can make plays in McKelvin and Byrd.

I can't really think of a guy on the Dolphins I'm excited to watch besides Reggie Bush and maybe Lamar Miller.

Hell, their receiving corps is so bad they don't even have a #1 guy listed on the team's official depth chart http://www.miamidolphins.com/team/depth-chart.html.

Good for Garrard though I'm sure any QB is excited by the possiblity of spreading the ball around to the likes of Brian Hartline, Davone Bess and the corpse of Chad Ochocincojohnson.

Terrible post is terrible. Your first paragraph overblows Matt Moore's play and ability, in addition to claiming Miami had an ability to draft offensive weapons (which they didn't) that would have helped Moore.....as rookies. Doubt it, few offensive rookies provide any significant impact YR1 on offense. Your second paragraph I already explained earlier. been there, done that a few times the past few years, has amounted to nothing. Third paragraph.......Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt, that should sum that up.

The fact that he is behind David Garrard doesn't mean he is worse than Garrard. Coaches have their own built-in bias regarding players. If you don't think that is the case, you can look at the way Raheem handled Byron Leftwich. Raheem gave him the starting job, eventhough he was awful throughout TC and in the pre-season games. Granted, Luke McCown was not a world-beater, but, he was head and shoulders above Leftwich in his performance and he didn't give him an opportunity. He simply ran Leftwich out there till it was clear the season was over then he threw out Freeman.

This is the exact reason why I don't understand them reaching so much to draft Tannehill. They will be terrible this year regardless. They might as well benefit from sucking, and take the opportunity to draft Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson, or Landry Jones, all of whom will be better than Tannehill IMO.

If you actually sat and thought that theory out logically for a minute, you would see how ridiculous your post is. Forget what YOU think of the organization and people, but do you really expect a bunch of professionals, in one of the most popular pro sports leagues in the world, are going to agree they are going to be a bunch of losers next year? Next, you are going to expect them to agree they should pass on a certain guy who plays the most important position in order to take some other journeyman you don't know will amount to a superstar either. AND THEN....have them all agree they'll just take one of the best QBs next year, after they suck, without any assurance that other teams will suck worse than them and have a higher pick, one or more of those great college QBs isn't seriously injured or flat out sucks, or that another team trades the farm to jump ahead of them?
When you have a guy you like as a franchise, and have scouted him and have his college coach, you take your shot if he is there and roll the dice. You don't consult the idiots on VSN for their expertise in football.

What do you think people have been posting? Their opinions! Granted it may be in a smart-ass tone, but, that is what VSN is. If anyone is getting salty, it's you. You are getting so bent out of shape because a majority of posters in this thread don't think much of Ryan Tannehill. In regards to logic, when did you become the VSN arbitrator of what is considered "using logic." I have seen multiple posts explaining the positions taken which means that you are simply trolling in a blind rage of homerism or you have no reading comprehension skills. Which one is it?
