I have no dog in this fight. But I would like to point out.

The Bears on Sunday down 30-13 and it was 4th and forever with with under 2 minutes left. Lovie went for it, and Jay got sacked...(AGAIN).

Now, WTB would you have wanted this, or what Spags did?(rhetorical) I was wondering why Lovie didnt punt? But, i do conceed the situations were quite different whereas Jay was getting a Bones Jones type beatdown all game.

Lovie kinda caught some heat for having Jay in the game and and letting him get sacked again. In todays world, there is no right thing, and everything will be second guessed.

I agree with this. That game was over. Your receivers all had butter fingers that game. No chance you're winning that game in that situation, so why risk the health of your $80 million franchise quarterback?

Without Steven Jackson and those receivers, St. Louis is just not a good team. I don't care if Bill Belichick is their coach.

All that said, I can understand why Rams' fans are frustrated. This was supposed to be your break-through season ... and injuries and a brutal schedule are killing it. Philly, NYG in NY, then Baltimore. St. Louis needed everything to go right, and it clearly hasn't. I'm not sure that can all be pinned on the coach.

wtf? did u watch the game? besides maybe salas the WRs played great. DX had some great catches. MSW also played well.

The reason why the rams lost was cause of their DBs. King was abused twice and on the first TD by NYG Butler was abused. throw in Dahl not defending tht deep pass right. Rams Dline and LBs looked pretty good, NYG didnt have no real offense for most of the game. Srs King is horrible, Bartell going down was a huge loss.

Take the muffed punt and fumble away and what are we talking about here?

There's a giant difference between probably not winning the game and completely giving up on winning the game. And if him trying to convert one 4th down is "risking his health", then what is starting him every game? Throwing him to the wolves?! Use your damn brain, Dave...

Spags seems like a good man, and its clear the players repect him. Linehan was a goofball who garnered no respect.

Every week a different player would blow up on him on the sideline. The two defining moments of the Lamehan era were mild mannered, classy Torry Holt going on a sideline tirade directed at Linehan that would have made TO blush, and mild mannered Marc Bulger doing the most apathetic, exaggerated eye roll of all time following a Linehan pep talk after yet anther failed drive/sack. FOX replayed that eyeroll about 900 times.
