DeAngelo Williams is one of the most feared running backs in the league.

The Philadelphia Eagles, widely regarded as one of the NFL's most dangerous teams, will be facing a challenging Carolina Panthers squad in Charlotte during week one.

The Panthers could very well be without their starting quarterback, Jake Delhomme, who suffered a dislocated kneecap during the pre-season. Delhomme is listed as a game time decision.

Carolina's ground attack is what scares Philadelphia most. Running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart make the perfect one-two punch, combining both speed and power.

If Philadelphia can contain Carolina's running game, they shouldn't have too much trouble with the Panthers in the end.​

Recap:

The Eagles and the Panthers were matched up as evenly as possible. Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb and halfback Brian Westbrook both turned in average performances, while Carolina's star running back DeAngelo Williams torched the Philadelphia defense. Eagles' rookie wide-receiver Jeremy Maclin had a spectacular debut, catching five passes. Quarterback Josh McCown, filling in for the injured Jake Delhomme, led the Panthers on a fourth quarter comeback, which was finished off by a DeAngelo Williams touchdown to take the lead. McNabb threw a late interception to Richard Marshall which locked up a victory for the Panthers.

Quarterback Drew Brees put up big numbers in a week one victory.

The Philadelphia Eagles, coming off of a week one loss in Charlotte to the Carolina Panthers, will be returning home to face off against the talented New Orleans Saints, who are coming off of a win against the lowly Detroit Lions.

Like the Eagles, the Saints possess one of the most dangerous offenses in the league, with super-quarterback Drew Brees behind center. Brees put up huge numbers in week one and will most likely do the same this week.

Despite having a very strong passing attack, New Orleans has questions in the run game. Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush split carries in week one, and only combined for 61 total yards. If Thomas and Bush are taken out of the game this week, the Eagles should be able to contain Brees as well.​

Recap:

Two elite, high-powered offensed NFC teams, the New Orleans Saints and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off in Pennsylvania. The leader of New Orleans' offense, quarterback Drew Brees, went down with a bruised rib during the first quarter, and backup Mark Brunell was forced to play for the rest of the game. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb missed his target more than he hit it, throwing 18-38, but halfback Brian Westbrook did enough to keep the Eagles in the game the whole way through. After a made field goal, the Saints held a small lead with under a minute left in the fourth quarter, until Philadelphia's Quintin Demps returned the kickoff for a touchdown, eventually winning the game for the Eagles.

Rookie Tyson Jackson leads the NFL in sacks through week two.

The 1-1 Kansas City Chiefs, coming fresh off of a blowout of the Oakland Raiders, will be traveling east to Pennsylvania to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, who are also 1-1.

Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassell has been putting up big numbers so far this season and will look to do the same against Philadelphia's strong pass defense. Kansas City's biggest weapon is rookie defensive end Tyson Jackson, who leads the entire NFL in sacks with six through week two. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has been protected relatively well so far, and if Jackson is able to get in McNabb's face he might throw unwise passes.

All in all, the Chiefs are a few years away from success and the chances of them defeating a team as talented as the Eagles are slim to none. Donovan McNabb should work on keeping his interception numbers down this game to get back to form for the rest of the season.​

The 1-1 Kansas City Chiefs came to Lincoln Financial Field to square off against the Philadelphia Eagles, who were also 1-1. Donovan McNabb came out of the gates firing, and ended up completing 62% of his passes. Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy combined for 104 rushing yards on 25 attempts, as they were able to find holes in Kansas City's defense all game long. The Eagles' defense were also able to force Chiefs' quarterback Matt Cassel to throw four interceptions, making it almost impossible for the Chiefs to win.

Sheldon Brown is leading the league in interceptions so far this season.

The term ballhawk. When it is mentioned, players that come to mind include Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu, Baltimore's Ed Reed, and Philadelphia's Asante Samuel. However, Samuel's teammate, Sheldon Brown, is quickly coming one of the most feared defensive backs in the league.

Brown has been one of the most reliable corners in the league for quite some time now, but interceptions had always been hard to come by for Brown, who had just 14 in his seven year career before this season. Brown had just four interceptions in the 2007 and 2008 seasons combined. However, this year Brown has snagged a pick in every game so far, tallying three up so far this season.

Brown is leading the league in interceptions for the first time in his career, and he has three of six interceptions by the Eagles all season.

Sheldon Brown was always thought of as more of a run-stopping corner, but he's quickly solidifying himself as one of the NFL's best all-around defensive backs.​

The Eagles' defense returned from the bye week looking hungry. They forced Buccaneers' quarterback Byron Leftwich to threw just 12-30 along with three interceptions, two of which were picked off by safety Quintin Mikell. The defense also held running back Derrick Ward to -4 rushing yards, an amazing feat. Philadelphia's running backs looked spectacular once again, as Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy combined for 117 yards on 25 carries. Despite throwing two interceptions, quarterback Donovan McNabb looked sharp in today's contest, throwing three touchdowns.
