Stanley Cup Final: New Jersey Devils vs. Los Angeles Kings

I thought I'd be more into the finals, but these huge lay overs are just killing it. I really wish the NHL would go back to play 2 games, day off for travel, play two, etc. There was really no reason to have a week off and then take two days off between games 1 and 2. It is just killing the momentum for me as a fan to want to watch the game.

Plus, even though both games went to overtime, it doesn't help that basically everyone knows LA is going to run over the Devils fairly easily.

Well, it would definitely cause someone to end up suspended, and probably a lot more would fall out from it, but if all you care about is winning, that might be the Devs best strategy. Hate to say it, but it might happen.

That was just a horrible game for the Devils. First goal I'll give them that one, as it should have been blown dead, but they had a goal where if they touched the puck it is blown dead on hand pass, instead they let the Kings have it, down the ice and score on the sexy Kopitar goal. Powerplay goal was miss cleared and gloved by Mitchelle. Devils just can't match up to the depth of the Kings.
 
Ugh.

The Devils left everything they had on the ice during the Rangers series. The Kings are dominating in every way you can dominate.
 
What a game last night, my god. I didn't think LA would have it this easy but they sure are showing who's boss at the moment.
 
I think Quick has the Conn locked up. Though Kopitar and Brown have had really good playoffs as well. I think if Quick comes out with another one goal or less performance in game four, you have to give it to him. He should really have three shutouts as the Devils haven't really scored a legit goal yet.
 
I love the Kings as a story this year, can't really say I like another Western Conference team though.
 
Screw that, I want LA to rip apart the hopes and dreams of Jersey on their home ice. Not even a blowout, a close game that they take with 120 seconds left would be just right.
 
I just wanted it to end last night. It is so hard to watch this night after night. And of course, another two days off to get the game on Saturday night.

I was going to say I've been bored out of my mind with this series. Not a lot of passion shown (even though it started a bit last night) and watching a guy like kovalchuk making all that money and being the laziest pile of shit is just disheartning.
