Even on free TV this is a lame match-up.. a kid who couldnt even stay sober enough to win a reality show and a guy who would die for another chance to fight for Dana. Id rather see Werdum and Kyle in a heartbeat.

I must give some credit to Jesse Taylor here tho. Hes taking a fight on short notice and the mother fucker has not only fought 6 times already this year, but also fought 2 fights in the last month. Dude is grinding it out. Hieron is not a push over by any means, but if Taylor's staying in good shape I think hes got this fight.

back to this pointless topic, the problem with young people today is everything is black and white, you need to have some perspective

Jesse Taylor vs Jay Hieron on a PPV card is not a good fight, Jesse Taylor vs Jay Hieron on a Showtime main card is better, but still not a good fight, Jesse Taylor vs Jay Hieron on a Showtime card where both fighters cant fight is a good replacement fight, throw in the fact that the show is less than a week away plus WW is a very thin division where there wasnt many options

First off they didnt even say what was going to be on the main card, they are trying to get both fights on the main card so it would be 5 fights instead of just 4

The problem with your original statement is that I would have 'shit on' the UFC for this match up which is not true, because you cant recall, I cant even recall a time where I ripped a non PPV cards 4th fight down, plus throw in that this is a last minute replacement fight where the show is a less than a week away, so basically you just made something up and went on your tried 'anti-UFC' or 'bias' angle

-Gina Carano (7-0) vs. Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (7-1) Womens 145 Title
-Mitsuhiro Ishida (18-5) vs. Gilbert Melendez (15-2) LW Title
-Renato "Babalu" Sobral (35-8) vs. Gegard Mousasi (25-2-1) LHW Title
-Jesse Taylor (13-3) vs. Jay Hieron (17-4)
-Fabricio Werdum (11-4-1) vs. Mike Kyle (12-6-1)

Cyborg is very good, but Gina is more technical in the sdtand up game and I think Cyborg might gas herself out with her all out style, Gina is very strong and has been training with Randy and the boys for a while now

Cardio will be the factor here, it is a 5 round 5 minute fight instead of the 3X3 fights they have been having lately, both women will gas at some point, but Gina should be able to pick Cyborg a part later in the fight because she doesnt use as much energy as Cyborg, but wont be surprised in Cyborg wins, whoever wins it should set up a rematch if its a good scrap

Ishida beat Gil be desicion in Japan, it was a really close fight, some thought Gil should have won and it was his first pro loss after starting 13-0, Gil should be able to take this one, its a longer fight and Gil started to take control later in there first fight, Gil is a way better striker and having more rounds with more chances on there feet will be in Gil's favor

Mousasi vs Babalu is the best fight on the card, Mousasi is on the verge of blowing up, the DREAM MW champ is not fighting at 205, Mousasi also wants to box and has had K1 fights plus he has a slick sub game, this is a huge test for Gegard, Babalu is no joke and will give Mousasi some problems, but Mousasi wins this one and becomes the new Strikeforce LHW champ

Jesse Taylor is a big WW, strong wrestler with good cardio, he is a knuckle head, but he a good fighter, I dont think Hieron can keep Taylor off of him enough to win this fight, its short notice for Taylor, but he always stays in shape and fighting 6 times this year already, all wins, Taylor takes this 1

Easy fight to pick next, Werdum is an elite grappler, Kyle, not so much, Mike Kyle can KO people and Werdum is coming of a TKO loss, but skill wise this isnt even close IMO, Werdum by sub in the first round

I agree that the longer it goes, the more it favors Melendez. This fight could easily end up just like Hirota/Ishida, but I would like to think Ishida wouldn't get caught like that again. Hopefully, a timely Ishidaplex will dead that right off the bat and the ragdolling can begin.
