Agreed. Gus has done a great job especially considering hes new to the sport.

Mauro on the other hand.. seems to be regressing bad.

Put me in the group that doesnt think anything will change if Gina and Cyborg fight again.

I think Mauro suffers from the three man booth. His role isnt clear. He's part play by play, part analyst. This hurts Frank too, because he splits his mic time with Mauro. They step on each other alot.

I think they should just go with Gus & Frank, and let Mauro/Quadros/Miletich handle the Challenger Series. The three man booth can work, but it has to be two clear cut analysts, not one play by play, one analyst, and one guy who's trying to do both.

I like Mauro too, but hes just not working in that broadcast. He still does a great job on the MMA show and other broadcasts he does. Maybe it really is the 3-person booth, as you said.

Gus sounds so much better announcing MMA fights for Strikeforce. In bball, I really love the guy but some don't like the fact he gets excited at seeing good decent plays...in bball it happens quite a bit and he's the type that will let you know it's a good play. In MMA, it's the same thing but in a sport where the action can be quick and frentic and that one big punch can turn the tide, it's perfect for Gus.

btw Cyborg is a man...she was laying hammer's on Carano and I give Gina props for lasting long like that because Cyborg was just not afraid of Carano's punches and ambushing the shit out of her.

also, I dont know why everyone is saying Gina gave up full mount, I remember Cyborg hipping out and getting back to half guard than Gina stood up

She should have stayed in half guard, but I think her knee got wrenched pretty good and she was probably worried about it, Cyborg had a nice heel hook on earlier

Just watched it again, Gina gets mount at around 1:10, lands some GnP, Cyborg rolls on her side than hips back out to the other and gets to a half guard spot than Gina back outs

I have been saying this since the beginning, just have Gus and Frank, 3 guys is to much for this team

Gus is really good, he still messes up sometimes, but he has learned a lot in this short period

yeah, should do really well, I think I read that they had 13,500 in attendence which is great for a non Frank fight in the Shark Tank

what cracks me up is reading on other boards form the 'fighters' that Gina/Cyborg shouldnt have been the headlining which is just silly from Strikeforces perspective

As much as I like Mousasi, Babalu, Gil, etc...they aint selling shit, they would barely get 10k in attendence and maybe 250,00 viewers

All the fighters on the card should be thankful that more people watched them then they noramlly would
