Strikeforce: Carano vs Cyborg (August 15th)

Cyborg is so incredibly erratic in her looks it's insane. She could be cute one moment, then incredibly mannish the next.

Gina Carano is fucking Randy Couture. No one can convince me otherwise.

LMAO @ Gus Johnson saying this fight will propel Gina into "mythical status". He gets an A for his excitement, but he's garbage and knows nothing.

IMO, Overall this Strikeforce event sucked. Not one good fight, They were all overmatched & lop-sided.
 
Just a lot of man-on-woman violence... you see this shit on the street and the guy goes to jail.

For real though, all this talk of Carano doing big things... Cyborg was coming into this fight looking to crush her and she did just that at the end of the fight.
 
I could go without ever seeing womens mma again.

Also, Gus Johnson is my boy but he's gotta stick to March Madness. He has no idea where he is.

Wasn't overly impressed with the event, but it wasn't terrible. Gina losing wasn't a surprise, although when she had full mount, I thought I was about to start eating crow. I still cannot believe she gave up full mount.

That being said, I really think that women's MMA is not going to draw in many new fans. Watching that was like watching a train wreck. Gina falling all over herself, not being aggressive, and the slightly manish looking victor; none of it really drew anyone in.

In Gina's defense the first time she had dominant control, she stuck her leg out and almost got tapped....Cyborg was looking for it again when she got the mount, thats probably why Gina stood up and walked away.

... you never... EVER just give up full mount. It is the most dominant position and can lead directly to massive damage via punches or if the person rolls over, you can go for the choke out. Either way, you NEVER give it up.

Gina had two bright spots all match and they were both on failed Cyborg takedowns where Gina ended up in dominant position. In both cases, she squandered it terribly.
