like CG showed, only time he ever got rocked was against Fujita who he proceeded to blast right after that

31 fights, never been dropped, has fought strikers like Cro Cop, AA, Big Tim, Herring, Schilt, Mark Hunt, etc...

You guys still get me with the fighters you list as good strikers. But, I'm not gonna beat a dead horse - I think Fedor/Rogers should be an entertaining fight. Interestingly Rogers pretty much ran through AA whereas Fedor struggled with him, so I wouldn't be surprised if Rogers can edge him out standing. But, I don't know much about Rogers ground game or TD defense, I don't think anyones seen enough of him to say whether or not he could stuff Fedors TDs and neutralize his ground game. I think common sense would say that Rogers isn't on Fedors level as far as that goes, so I think Fedor will get the win.

If somehow it does stay standing Rogers by KO.

Maybe one day Fedor will fight a technical stand up master like Sean Sherk who has never KO'd anyone of note standing, or maybe he can fight a bad ass boxer the likes of Randy Couture who has never KO'd anyone standing

The point of listing these strikers was that Fedor has fought a bunch of strikers who have fought at a high level of Kickboxing and guys who beat people standing and have a lot of KO's, the question was asked about Fedors chin and not ever getting dropped by guys like this in the HW division means you probably have a good chin or been good enough to not get hit

I dunno how Tim got on the list was all I was thinking about. Especially when talking about his chin cause Tim never even touched him. But other than that I don't really think Tims striking deserves to be mentioned in that company of fighters so I was surprised to see his name being mentioned.

I just put Tim on there because he is a striker and has KO'd a lot of people, of course he didnt touch Fedor, just showing that he has been in there with dangerous guys on his feet and come out without getting dropped

No one can really say if Fedor has a great 'chin' because it rarely has been touched, he usually blocks or gets out of the way, but after 31 fights and never having been dropped I think its safe to say its pretty good

I doubt if I've ever called Sherk a master, but yeah FWIW I do feel that's Fedor's one and only kryptonite,technical standup strikers with a solid TD defense. Anyone that fits into that category will have a great shot at beating him IMO.

a part of me wants to see this fight go the distance. nothing wrong with KO's or subs but whens the last time we actually got to see Fedor go the distance. i want to see his technique and skills for more than 5 minutes.

That will not happen against Brett Rogers. Hell, nobody knows what kind of ground game the man has.

I'd run around naked if this fight goes deep into the third round and after an extensive ground battle, Rogers subs Fedor with a gogoplata.

I would like Rogers to have a good showing, but I see a Fedor blasting Rogers with the quickness and Rogers not being able to keep up witrh the speed, maybe he gets subbed once he crumbles or it gets stopped from strikes, I just dont see Brett catching Fedor with anything, maybe this will look like Fedor/Goodridge

Shields/Mayhem is a tough pick, Mayhem is the bigger fighter and more used to the MW class, Mayhem is a great grappler and didnt get subbed by Jacare who is a better grappler than Shields, but something tells me Jake takes this, if Mayhem had better takedown defense I would go with him, but Shields should be able to get it to the ground, so I got Shields in this one, but Mayhem puts on a good showing

Mousasi by brutal TKO, Sok is still a very good fighter, but if he doesnt catch you early he is in trouble, Mousasi is on another level right now and reaching elite status, Gegard beats Sok in this one

Great fight to start off the night, I am a big Silva fan, but Werdum is one of the best HW grapplers in the world, so it wont be easy for Big Foot, I think he keeps it standing long enough to do some damage to Werdum and has enough ground game to not get subbed, I think Silva take it, but its a toss up fight IMO

It's Fedor. Say no more.

Shields/Mayhem is very interesting and could easily go either way, but I think Mayhem wins this. Shields is very similar to Jacare, but smaller and worse striking. In the DREAM MWGP, Mayhem did very well neutralizing Jacare's BJJ. Miller could tool Shields standing, but I think Shields' wrestling and whether Miller can neutralize it will be the x-factor. As much of a bitch Mayhem is, him winning the belt would be a good look for SF.

Mousasi has been dominant, so I expect another Babalu-esque KO. While Soko is very explosive and packs power, he still has issues with a gas tank and isn't as refined a striker as Gegard.

I'm cheering for Silva because Werdum is a bum and Fedor/Bigfoot is a better matchup.

Coenen is very interesting female fighter who shows flashes of dominance, but also has some mental lapses. Modafferi has fought her before to a split decision, but I don't think it'll be as close this time around since she's coming in on short notice.
