I started the playoffs last night. Since I played a Short Season the playoffs are only best of three. I won my division 2-0 and have to play the Herbisaurs in the Championship. I lost the first game 3-1. I'll pick it back up tonight. I obviously have to win two straight to get the trophy.
Speaking of trophies, I only have a few left to unlock. I kind of lucked out last night getting the one where you have to strike out a batter with bases loaded. In the first game of the Division Series and the top of the first inning the loaded the bases and I struck the batter out for the third out. Ding!

I'm playing at the BeeWolves ( Bee something anyway), balanced team. I play on Ego 40 with them just because that is where I landed.
I absolutely love the pitching in this game. Its so easy to do but so difficult to do well. MLB The Show needs this, seriously.
I think its great that a game that is presented in suck a silly fashion plays a very good game of baseball.
Sure, there are some things that could be improved but really, for what it is, its a good game.

what makes this game great?
all phases of the game are fun (pitching, fielding and hitting) and the fun atmosphere.

The funny thing is that Hugs Lovell was easily my worst starting pitcher up to that point. She got pretty much rocked her last two starts.
I don't think I've EVER thrown a no-hitter or perfect game in ANY baseball videogame in my entire life and I've been gaming for around 32 years.
You'll also notice in the video that I swipe a few bases. I think that so far in my season (10 games, 7-3 record) I have like 15 stolen bases on like 23 attempts now. I couldn't steal a base to save my life before but I'm finally getting the hang of it. It seems to be a must to use one of the speed teams though, like the Overdogs or the Wild Pigs.

I use power hitting every time (right thumb joystick)
pull back when pitcher releases ball and forward to hit.

I triple checked the in-game manual and it doesn't mention anything about pick-off attempts.
