DLed peeled through most of the demos out for PSN last night and this morning...

-SF3: Third Strike Online Edition = It's the shit but you might want to get a fight stick

-Hamilton's Great Adventure = Phone Game port spruced up; collect jewels and a key with a man and a bird

-Comix Zone (for PS+ right now) = Genesis beat'em up appealing to 90s sensibilities

-Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine = Gears with a new paint job and no cover system

-Bodycount = Generic shooter #63227

I just played it and I definitely agree, but it's a damn solid Gears clone. It literally plays and looks exactly like Gears. Everything from reload being mapped to the RB button to the dive maneuver the character does when you press A. But the game looks so good and the melee combat is awesome. The weapons are really cool too.

Huge surprise I know, but I'm definitely going to buy it at some point.

Depending on the game length and the variation of missions (I know it's basically kill anything that's green and in front of you), I could see it going at $30 with DLC coming later.

I would definitely pay $30 for it so when it hits that price I'll scoop it up. I don't see a lot of hype around it so that will probably happen sooner rather than later.

Playing it on 'Normal' and the game's gotten to the point where it's actively telling both of us that we're going to die cold, wet and alone... alone because either one of us had died earlier in the level.

The last two levels are "Fuck You, Die Already" Hard.

I am fucking horrible in UC2 multiplayer. My apologies to Jay for having to put up with it.

Also, is it just me or are there no hit markers on UC2 multiplayer? I don't think I noticed one the entire time I played tonight.

I played some of the Resistance 3 beta today and enjoyed it.

I played some of the Resistance 3 beta today and enjoyed it.

We were both :turrible: to be honest.

The rest of our team stunk so by the end of the session, you could tell that they quit.

...of course going 8 kills to the other team's 24 at the beginning of the match does wonders for the psyche.

As for the hitmarkers, Naughty Dog fiddled with the game mechanics to the point where they either had to go back to a previous patch or leave it the hell alone.

That's why it's easier to kill somebody with a pistol than it is with a default AK and everyone rushes for the Power Weapons at the beginning of every match.

Anyone think there is just TOO MUCH shit in Assassin's Creed 2.

• treasures
• armor
• weapons
• contracts
• random thiefs
• upgrading the town
• glyphs
• codex pages
• underground tombs
• guilds
• wanted posters
• viewpoints
• oh yeah and the main story.

There just seems to be so much crap.

I am mainly sticking to the main story but I imagine you waste a lot of time doing other shit besides the main story.

Game is 100X better than the first but wow it is almost overwhelming. Combat is till a little wonky.

Nah I disagree, single player games need to offer loads of side content from the main story in order to give you the lengthy playtime.

In current times gamers seem to judge game value by how many hours they get out of it, so I think all that is welcome by many. It's not as if you need to do most of that stuff either, yet much of it is fun to accomplish.

yeah agreed.....i think I am mainly playing it to get through it and understand the story. I want to beat this and Brotherhood before Revelations drops.

BTW I may be stuck in the house all day sunday b/c of this stupid Irene BS. Message me here if you want to give DN another go!
