I've been chugging along in Demon's Souls through the Stonefang Tunnels. Armor Spider, Flamelurker, and Dragon God were surprisingly easy. I'm going to go back through the area to pick up any items I missed before I move on.

As much as I'd like to get it day one and get the Collector's Edition upgrade, I'm probably going to wait a bit for a sale. I might do the same with Arkham City too. Just too many damn games coming out around the same time for me to get all of them on release.

Bloomberg: Xbox As Cable Provider Could Be Unveiled Next Week


Rumors that U.S. cable providers Comcast and Verizon are on the verge of a deal with Xbox 360 to use the console as a cable box have been circulating for weeks. Today Bloomberg joins the crowd, citing their own sources.

The article, which cites people with knowledge of the situation, says that the service could hit as soon as next week. It goes on to describe the streaming service as something that would require people to "prove" they already are customers of Comcast's XFinity or Verizon's FiOS. That makes me think this might be something akin to XFinity TV's iPhone app which allows you to browse and stream free on-demand offerings but not live television.

Definitely ready for a 4 day weekend of gaming (fall break M/T) after this hell week of school. I plan on getting some Gears 3, NFS: Hot Pursuit, replay some Uncharted 1, BF3 beta, and possibly some NCAA in, hell maybe even some Halo: Reach and Resistance 3 as well. What's everyone else's weekend gaming plans?

sounds like a purfect weekend. NCAA OD game jms vs hellisan on friday night. No gaming Saturday. Maybe get some gaming in sunday night. Busy weekend.

U Mad.. Grown man hunts down and attacks child who kills him in Call of Duty game

A 46-YEAR-OLD fan of Call of Duty tracked down and attacked a schoolboy who had killed his computer game character, a court heard.

Mark Bradford, 46, admitted he ‘just lost it’ after a 13-year-old player gunned-down his character then proceeded to mock him over the microphones used in the game Call Of Duty: Black Ops.

Jobless father of three Bradford confronted the youngster at an address in Plymouth, Devon (UK), and started to strangle him, Plymouth Magistrates Court was told.

The attack only ended when the teenager’s horrified mother pulled Bradford off the boy then he left without any explanation.

The teenager’s mother said:
It’s pathetic that a grown man would attack a defenceless child like this.

“If you can’t handle losing to a child then you shouldn’t be playing games.”

Bradford admitted the attack was ‘moment of madness’ as the child ‘would not shut up’.

He said:
“I’d been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and baiting me and just would not shut up.
“He went on and on and I just lost it. I hold my hands up, I lost the plot. In a moment of madness I went round to his house. I didn’t know what I was going to do.”

Bradford admitted one count of assault by beating. Magistrates ordered a probation officer to prepare a full report on his background before he is sentenced.Source
