Gertsman reviewed Kane and Lynch and gave it like a 5 or 6. They fired him for it, Ryan, Vinnie, and Brad followed Jeff and said they didnt want to work for a company like that.

Supposedly, now that GB has gained such a following they're going to be allowed to keep the same editorial tone and creative control that they had at Whiskey, but with more money backing them.

The guys at Tested made some crazy waves too. They're working with the MythBusters dudes now, which is pretty fucking cool.

I certainly hope they maintain the same style, but part of me believes it's only a matter of time before GameSpot starts slowly steering GB in another direction.

The Tested/Mythbusters combo is cool though (especially since the show seems to be in limbo after their accident a few months ago).

I don't know. It just doesn't make much sense for CBS to pay a lot of money to bring GB over and then fuck with them.

The GB fanbase is pretty fanatical and if they get even a whiff of funny business, I feel that most would bail in a heartbeat.

I also think Jeff is in a place of power that he wasn't back in 2007. He doesn't really have to take anybody's shit anymore because he has proven he can just go out and do it on his own if he has to.

started Mass Effect 2 tonite....holy shit is this game better than 1....like night and day. The character models look great and the combat actually makes sense. I am sucked in!

yep. thats why its important for anyone wanting to play all 3 to make sure they play 1 before ever looking at 2 or 3. Its tough to go back to 1 after playing 2

downloaded Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 for the pc....ahh the memories
still a solid tactical shooter after all these years. I remember when everyone was raving about that cover system and how it should be used in every shooter that followed.

i have not seen that cover system in any game since vegas. also hard pressed to find a great tactical shooter since then either

It's been in plenty. It was in games before R6V and plenty after.
