Well, I played the first game of my tenure at UConn... got lucky and got out of East Lansing with a 70-67 win over #1 Michigan State. My SF Jason Ferris went off with 17 points, and my freshman C Hernandez had 22 points, 11 boards, and 3 blks, he was the first team pre-season All-American at center and he reminds me a lot of Greg Oden.

My guard play is terrible... I can legimately go 8-9 deep in the frontcourt.. but I have one PG and one SG on the roster, and 2 SF's.

You, Sven, and Proof (and anyone else for that matter) should start up a CHoops thread .. maybe not go into a lot of details with it, just posts like these every few days .. I Really enjoy reading them.

Caught a copy of Skate 2 at GameStop for $20 even... a day-or-two afterward, the original Bioshock sprouts up at my local K-Mart for $20 as well.

Good times for cheap-o games.

You'll get mixed answers to that.

Mine? Well, theres a trick about Gamefly's Queue, you load it with a bunch of games, then you're chances of getting any of those games seems to decrease. What I do is, remove any and every game that is currently out. And just keep "upcoming releases" on my Q.

If there is a particular game that is already out, I add JUST that game. IF it's the only game I want. Lets say you want Modern Warfare OR Bad Company, you can add both those, just dont add any other game that is currently out. I dont usually add a ton of currently available games to my Q. Which is what a lot of gamefly subscribers seem to do. Just pile a shit load of games on their Q that they would play but dont necessarily want more than the other, and then nothing gets shipped as quickly as they'd like.

It's awesome if you really, truly play games a lot.
Pricing is $15 for 1 game out, $25 for 2, and $35 for 3. I think you can go as high as 4 games out at a time.

1. One game out at a time costs US$15.95 per month.
2. Two games out at a time costs US$22.95 per month (this is the most popular and promoted plan).
3. The three game out at a time plan, which is only available to eligible users in good standing for a duration of 60 days, costs US$29.95 per month.
4. The four game plan, which is only available to eligible users in good standing for about 60 days as well, costs US$36.95 per month.

I'm pretty happy that they are getting rid of the cel-shaded ness. Really, I think that it used to not be so popular (I first remember it in Jet Set Radio), but then going to Okami, Borderlands, and even Street Fighter IV. Lets make the cel-shaded ness a rarity again.

The gameplay looks so awesome though. I never beat the original trilogy (Beat the 3rd one with the evil prince or w/e, (Two Thrones?), got hanged on Warrior Within, and never played Sands of Time. Looking forward to this though.

Having owned and beaten Sands of Time, I can wholeheartedly say that it's at least worth a rental if anything.

The Forgotten Sands scares me. I'm never a fan of a product that is said to be "done" and then gets rehashed for some reason. It rarely ever works out.

meeeehh..i was young around the time (like 14-16?) and didn't have a job. One of the many ps2 games i missed out on.

While I was in college, my dad went in my room and put my PS2 in our living room. My nephews (like 3-4,6,8) love to play games on that. In particular, my three-four year old nephew was playing NFL 2k5 for about 3 hours straight. I was in awe. He got his ass demolished by the computer about 3 times in a row, but he kept playing. Eventually he'd just start picking the Alumni team and face the ravens just to have a chance.

I think my family just found their next gamer..

Most of my PS2 stuff is older titles or stuff that's been dropped so low in price, it would hurt my wallet either way.

I thank my local bargain video game store everyday for my copies of Contra: Shattered Soldier, MGS3 and Jak II.
