Why do BB employees think I give 2 shits about them wanting to get off work, so they can go play Battlefield 3.....when I'm buying a movie? This wasn't the first time I got something not game related and the cashier tried to start a conversation about games.

Having gotten through 2/5ths of the Main Campaign and MOUNTAINS of side-missions/instances/time trials/rampages/co-op on Defiance, I can firmly say...

It's not a sit-down and finish in a week game.*

I've murdered so many bugs, mutants and raiders that I should get an honorary seat amongst the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse for the amount of ass I've stomped.

And yet, I still find time to grind XP and go looking for tape recorders so I have the small chance of getting a new hat/set of clothes/nametag to go with my character.

*understandablely since it's a shooter/MMO

NES Game 'Holy Grail' Found for $8

A gamer’s $8 Goodwill find has turned into a windfall of at least $12,000.

An unidentified woman bought the super-rare collectible NES game Family Fun Fitness: Stadium Events at a Goodwill thrift store in North Carolina. She is now auctioning the rare game on GameGavel, a video game auction site. The current bid is at $12,000, and there are still six days left on the listing.

She recognized the “Holy Grail” of the Nintendo NES, and recalled its fame from an eBay auction a few years prior for a group of games that fetched over $10,000 due to Stadium Events’ inclusion.

According to her interview on GameGavel, she is planning to use the money she makes from the auction to pay off her student debt.

This isn’t the first time a casual discovery has netted a gamer several thousand dollars. Red Sea Crossing, an independently-developed 1983 game for the Atari 2600, earned its owner $10,000 in a 2007 auction. Last year, a copy of Air Raid fetched $33,000.

When a copy of Stadium Events surfaced in 2011 it sold for $38,000.

Nintendo to post second straight full-year loss - Report

Nintendo Co. President Satoru Iwata has pledged that the “Super Mario” game creator will post a 100 billion-yen ($1 billion) operating profit this fiscal year as new software titles boost sales. Analysts say he’ll fail.


Iwata will announce a second straight annual loss tomorrow, losing 18.7 billion yen in the 12 months ended March 31, according to the average of 15 estimates compiled by Bloomberg. For the year started April 1, Nintendo may post operating income of 70 billion yen, according to the average of 19 estimates -- short of a target he said was a personal “commitment.”

Nintendo’s Wii U, its first new home-gaming console since 2006, is failing to meet sales targets amid a delay of software releases that Iwata said were crucial to winning over consumers who increasingly play games on smartphones and tablet computers. Sony Corp. (6758) and Microsoft Corp. are also preparing to release upgraded consoles this year, adding pressure on the 53-year-old executive, who’s been in the role since 2002.

So... the demo for God Mode...

It definitely eschews a heady story for 4-person online co-op "fun."

Pick how you want your character to look with an option to change into Pirate Hats, Soldier Helmets and even Taliban Headwraps if you get enough XP.

The only weapons you get to use for the demo are only the Uzi and Shotgun but you get more later on along with a special power like Shields depending
on how well you do.

Shit's boring as fuck though and the demo's too short of an indicator as to if you should play the full version or not.

another review I saw said this should only be played with others because it can get real long (if played solo) and you only can use the 2 weapons you started with (no switching).

the quick look was with other people but i guess in the early levels coop is not that important. Honestly...it looks pretty dumb.

Yeah, it does. I watched a video on it last night after seeing it just appear in teh PS Store after having heard nothing about it. It just looks like a Horde-mode only game. For $5 I'd be willing to waste a few hours with some friends mowing down brainless enemies, but no more than that. And the game is $10.

I also saw TMNT: Out of the Shadows, another game I had not heard of, and checked out a video on that last night.

Looks pretty decent? It's also $10 and I would imagine it is four player co-op. I do think it;s interesting that all of the trailers say that it was supposed to release this Summer, yet it's out now. How often does a game, downloadable or otherwise, release months early?
