Any of you PS3/Vita homo's picking up Spelunky today? Great, great game. I can't decide if the Vita cross buy possibility would be a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, mobile Spelunky seems like it would be a very cool way to play it, given how the game operates in small bites (for the most part). On the other hand, I could see enjoying it until just about the time I got to the Temple, screamed, and chucked my Vita into traffic/the sewer/a homeless person's face.

nah...next vita game is Rayman Legends.

Currently working on getting Spelunky this week.

Game's up there with fellow rage inducers like Bit.Trip... Runner in the Nintendo Hard category later on.

My only issue is that the PC version's the only that has the Daily Challenge right now.

I'm playing the DEMO of Spelunky and I'm getting absolutely destroyed.

So far, so good.

EDIT: Upon further review, if you're able to get passed the Mines (1-1 through 1-4), the demo cuts off there.

It's a small taste and knowing that the Jungle's right there but you can't play it is definitely an incentive to buy if you don't pull your hair out getting murdered a bunch of times.

It's the full version plus some extra Christmas-based missions where you work for a drunken bum dressed like Ol' Saint Nick.

You can't go wrong with Bully and more of it never hurts.

So, I really, really enjoyed Runner2 back when it first came out for 360. Great music, fun graphics, and tons of replayability with the ability to perfect, perfect +, and perfect +++ every level. That being said, I found the game to be really, really easy, for the most part.

Hearing basically the opposite of its predecessor Bit.Trip.Runner, I fired it up the last couple of nights, and holy shit. That game is not fucking around. For starters, there is no midway checkpoint. The game seems to move much faster, and is WAY less forgiving. Getting perfects isn't TOO bad if you're willing to put up with the fact that you'll probably do some of the more difficult levels 4 times (and some of them are LONG), but getting a perfect and then ANOTHER perfect in the retro stage? Holy shit.

Good game though, and I love the 8-bit spin of the music. Would recommend it if you like the runner game genre, and I'm pretty sure the thing would run on an Apple 2, so anyone can play it.

I wouldn't say it's a ton easier. If you play on the Hard setting, you get a comparable experience to the first from what I've played.
