It's actually not that bad dude. The Stealth ones aren't too hard, up until the one where you have to yank 3 dudes to knock them out from a railing with the grapple thing (wow that was a bad sentence)....the fighting ones are easy other than Shock & Awe (think that that is what it's called) and that one is only hard because of the time limit.

I freaking love that game.

The Invisible Predator ones turned out to be surprisingly easy. However, I've hit a wall about halfway through the combat ones. I'm having a hard time sustaining combos in the later combat levels, and it's really hurting my scores. Hopefully, I'll get lucky in a few tries and/or have something click that allows me to keep my combos going.

Finally got my "Bully" and "Menacing" trophies for Dragon Age.

All I had to do was threaten a band of ruthless bandits, a Revered Chantry Mother, a profiteering merchant, a wayward set of adventurers traveling with news of a Blood Mage and several others.

Best part was gaining ownership of a bar and shaking down the former owner for all his money...

And I'm playing a "good" character to boot.

It's amazing how well done the combat in that game is. You really do develop a "flow" that goes perfectly with the concept of the game/Batman. I got the Flawless Freeflow combo cheevo one time when I wasn't even trying, it just happened.

As much as I love the game though, Shock & Awe or whatever it's called was an exercise in controller snapping frustration.

When did gaming come down to the product having to look good in order to play it?

Also, could the average gamer look past awful graphics if the gameplay was superb?

certainly. demons souls didnt have "awful graphics" but they weren't anything to write home about and no where near on par with the graphical beasts of this gen (gears,uncharted,mgs,etc.) but with the phenomenal gameplay, graphics became very secondary.

I couldn't even get through the regular game, myself. What would you say is a justifiable price point for it?

I honestly thought the game was well worth $60 but I'm sure my opinion is different than most. I'm pretty sure you can get the game for less than $30 easily and I would say it's well worth it.

I really liked Alan Wake even though the combat does get very repetitive.

Getting close to about 85% on Batman: AA. The Riddler trophies are pretty hard to find later in the game , but i did about..ehh, 40-45% on my first play through. Its just going through the WHOLE game again to find them is stressing.

It's a lot easier if you find the Riddler's maps in the game. I think most can be found in the rooms blocked by the electric barriers. So after you get the sequencer from Sharpe, spend some time to open those rooms and guard stations up to find the maps.

In addition, those who purchase Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 may unlock a Steam Play (PC & Mac) copy of Portal 2 at no additional cost by linking their PSN and Steam accounts.

"We made a promise to gamers at E3 that Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 would be the best console version of the product," said Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve. "Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers. We hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases."

"We designed the Portal 2 PS3 experience to be very straightforward for gamers," said Josh Weier, project lead on Portal 2 at Valve. This week, both Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com will receive small updates that I wanted to make you aware of.



Xbox LIVE Dashboard update:

On Wednesday, January 19th we will issue a mandatory dashboard update that (re) enables the ‘Boot to Disc’ option in the Xbox 360 dashboard. After you accept the update, you’ll be able to set the option to boot to the Xbox 360 dashboard OR directly to the game you have in the tray when you power up your console. This option can be found in the System Settings.



Xbox.com update:

Additionally, on Thursday January 20th the Xbox.com team will ship an update that contains a small update to the Gamercards. We’ve updated the Gamercard look and feel a bit and removed gamerzone from the card. Other than that, the same amount of information is on the card. Here is an example:

hmmm, nice option if you need it. i am surprised MS would want anyone to bypass the dash and all the free advertising they can market. I like booting to the dash so i can see any new items i might be interested in. the dash is like an experience in itself

That Portal news is pretty groundbreaking. I know Epic tried a bit of that with Unreal Tourney 3 (mods and such) but this sounds to finally bring all of that to fruition.

Sounds like they are really just creating steam for the PS3 which is what a lot of people thought they were going to do back when they announced they were partnering up.

Its a good thing they are cross platforming it though because that would of been a bitch to have two steam logins if you owned a ps3 and a comp with steam on it.
