Apparently Sony completely screwed the pooch with the digital release of The Show. I think the latest was that it may not even be available until the store updates this evening. Lulz. OS guys are losing their minds. :hitler:

So, a Xbox guy (his YouTube channel is littered with everything Xbox, including his shitty Xbox avatar) spends ten minutes explaining why all of this stuff doesn't really matter because the XBOne struggles with all of this stuff. All the while playing the Xbox version of Thief.

Seems legit.

Edit: LOL. Just watched a few of his "Who's really winning the console war?" videos. This guy went from just being a Xbox Guy to full on fanboy. He's delusional.

I think he made some decent points, people do get caught up with the screen resolution aspect of games. TLOU was the best game for the last gen in terms of visuals and that was rendered in 720p. But some of his examples were definitely skewed to serve his opinion. Sure having a 720p image with say 1000 polygons will look better than one with only 300 polygons at 1080p. Let's see the comparison at an equal amount of polygons. Honestly, if the PS3 was able to render Metal Gear Solid 4 where the scope of the game was extremely huge and the visuals of the game are still one of the best for that gen then other companies should be able to at least replicate that quality at full 1080p like MGS4 was in the newer generation.

PS4 gives developers the option to make that decision at the end of their development whether or not to go 1080p. With the XBOne its not even an option which is a bummer.

The greatest injustice that videos games has over done to me has just been carried out. Here I am playing MLB The Show, slowly improving my guy in RTTS. I'm having a pretty good season in Double A, but I break my leg with two months to go which sidelines me for the rest of the season. Whenever I checked 'Player Comparison', I was always 'Exceeding Expectations.' I was batting .357 with 23 homers on the season, both of which was leading Double A.

My reward for my great play? Being demoted to the bench for the following season. Meanwhile my shitty backup in AA got promoted to Triple A starter. I'm the second highest overall 3rd baseman at the club. My player's about to go all Milton from Office Space on the club's HQ.

Apparently my issues with the Gears of War LE controllers are/were a lot more widespread than I thought. I know when I posted here about the issues no one else seemed to have them. Someone on CAG just posted a deal where someone is selling them on eBay. Lo and behold only a posts in...

A WARNING: I bought a pair of these--1 retail from Target before they were OOP, and another months later off ebay just like this, taken from a console--they have the same fault, if you wave them around at the right angle or, dare I say, slam them down just right (not even with any force) the battery pak/charger pak instantly loses connection.

I found just the right amount of thin masking tape layers inside the frame where the battery pak/charger pak mostly fixes it but once in a while the problem still crops up.

I love the design--despite not being a huge GOW fan--and it's one of the only LE controllers with precision nubs on the analog sticks rather than having the smooth ones, which in my book is worth the inconvenience.

The above issue was more than just that; the controllers of this design are well known to just disconnect. It's odd because it's an issue common to this model of controller. I have one and never had it do this to me, but I also rarely use it. If you have a (black) play and charge kit you could just use that to prevent the potential issue (I think).

There were also people who talked about the right trigger and/or right bumper just not working after a few weeks of play. That's a big issue, especially for a game like Gears of War.

It looks and feels nice, but just be aware that it could have issues.

Listening to the Bombcast from yesterday, and it looks like Vinny is headed East to start up...Giantbomb East.

I'm surprised it took him this long after having a kid. I'm curious what this will mean for the podcast and things like Unprofessional Fridays, but overall I think it will allow them to produce more of their own brand of weird content (VinnyVania, Breaking Brad, etc...) so it's probably a good thing.

Still, sad to see Vinny go Him and Jeff together is pretty awesome, and serves as a nice break from Jeff and Brad fighting.

I love when Jeff and Brad fight, but without Ryan around and now Vinny, it could get ugly. I remember that podcast where they fought about FPS' (around Garden Warfare and COD) and it got to the point where it felt like I was listening to my parents fight. Sometimes they need someone to reel them in.

I like Drew, but yeah, he does like, real stuff on the weekends. And when he goes nerd, he goes nerd in ways that just don't interest me that much (flight sims, etc...)
