While I'm sure Peterson would make a good safety, you don't move a CB of his caliber to safety. You just don't.

It depends on the team he goes to, really.

He is a big motherfucker, so I can see why you'd take him and move him...

The Cardinals drafted a stud CB that was jumbo sized in Antrel Rolle and they struggled to use him correctly for years until they moved him into the slot (think of the way the Steelers use William Gay or the Packers use Charles Woodson because both players can play the run well, blitz, and still cover both TEs and inside receivers)...and then eventually moved him to safety to best utilize his talents there and he settled in.

Petersen is more athletic than Rolle and projects better to CB, but if the team that drafts him isn't a scheme fit, I can see them putting him in a universal place for success where they don't have to overthink things, and putting him at FS.

Either way, he's the Calvin Johnson of cornerbacks...he's too good of an athletic and talent, you take him and figure it out later.

Petersen was a future #1 corner in the draft when he was still Johnson playing at Ely HS.

Nnamdi...yes.

Revis...I'll say yes, however, he was one of those late risers...around draft time, everyone knew he was going to be a stud and was a wild card in the draft...no one knew where he'd slot, because a lot of teams would try and move up for him...he didn't go as high as his draft stock measured him at, at the end, but he was the last elite stud CB.

I think Petersen is a small click above Eric Berry as a prospect...both really good...Berry is a better safety prospect and maybe a safer prospect, but Petersen is a better athlete and has upside at one of the most difficult positions in the sport to find that elite player at. They're close though as prospects.

I didn't realize he didn't have a single INT, I think he is a solid corner but Peterson is one of those special players that doesn't come around very often. Best corner since Revis and he will probably be drafted higher.
