I did essentially the same thing on Yellow, its a bit different though

Yellow >>>>>> all other shit (including Red and Blue)

i need to play some more heart gold...i got to which ever city has the radio tower and then just stopped.
 
these are the movesets

Kecleon
1. Fire Blast
2. Thunderbolt
3. Psybeam
4. Slash

Machoke
1. Karate Chop
2. Dynamic Punch
3. Rock Smash
4. Strength

Kecleon probably has the moveset advantage but im gonna need Machoke to get through Victory Road.
