Irritating is too nice of a word in this case. It's like if anyone lays a nice hit it has to be a fight. We got that from people who would hit Gretzky and then a fight would happen, but I'm sorry, your 2nd-3rd line guys are not the great one and don't warrant a fight just because so-and-so laid a CLEAN HOCKEY HIT. Well unless you're a frenchie because they would fight you and call the cops on you for a delay of game.

I think they should almost consider putting the red line back in and two line pass. We keep talking about how the game is to fast and this and that, well, the red line does help to slow the game down. The stretch passes that lead to a lot of head shots/cross ice zonkers is caused by the red line being a fancy strip on ice. If you take it away, guys will have to let up a little and keep before the blue line. You can't get way behind the defence anymore, thus it does slow the game down a little.

I'm not saying I hate the fast pace game, because obviously it’s the best version. But its an option. If you are not going to change equipment so they are not wearing suits of armour, and you're not going to get rid of the instigator rule to help police some of this shit, then you need to slow the game down. Putting the red line back in will help just a tad.


Though if they add that back in, in NHL games I'm totally fucked :lesmug:

The NHL made it clear they like to judge intent as to what gets you suspended.

KG, I just read your post on the last page about Heatley.

I have been going off on him for the entire season. I can't stand him. He only scores because he just sits in front of the net. He is a horrible skater, he is always getting thrown to the ground like he is 5'10" and not 6'4". He tries to make all these fancy plays instead of doing the one thing he is actually good at - shooting.

And he is downright awful defensively. He takes a lot of dumb penalties because he is terrible on D or just lazy and a fucking faggot who hacks, trips, and hooks whenever he gets fooled.

I don't like him at all. I really want the Sharks to trade him for a DMan.

I've seen him (in few spots) actually play quite well on defence this year, but overall he is pretty lazy and doesn't move his feet enough. He doesn't give a fuck about winning either, which is the worst.

Sharks aren't moving him though because he has a NTC that he won't waive and nobody should be willing to trade for him considering what happened between Ottawa and Edmonton.

I watched a little of the Vancouver game last night and jesus christ I just don't know how they are going to fuck it up this year. Their team is rediculous.

It's pretty insane when their backup goalie is better then most of the starters in the league.

Schneider is awesome, he has to be dealt in the offseason. He deserves to start somewhere.


I like a SJ/VAN West final, Vancouver should take them out, but they match up pretty well.

A bit off topic from actual NHL Talk, but I figured some of you guys would like this game on FB, Dynasty Hockey. I was curious and checked it out, and basically you start out with a crap team and you build your team up, signing players from different decades / era's. I think it's pretty entertaining.


Anyways, good god is Colorado terrible recently lol..Phoenix and Detroit have been on a roll though.

Just heard this on CBC during the intermission. Apparantly ‎34% Of parents across Canada are said to be considering having their kids stay away from hockey because they are afraid the game is getting to violent....

That's the first time the Bruins have lost by more than 2 all season. Apparently 3 3 goal losses in a season is the best performance in years. Just figures the media mentions it and the Bruins go on to lose by 3.
