Timoo really didn't have anything to do with that.. Horton was off balance the whole time.
Either way. Flyers finally have a goalie.. Was a pretty solid game all around. Pretty disappointing at the crowd. U can see a bunch of empty seats. I guess people left after they raised the banner lolz. plus all the season ticket holders were selling their seats for asinine prices.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the year goes. That game was completly different then what was shown in the preseason. I saw Kessel actually back checking which was kinda odd and Komisarek played really well which surprised me after ragging on him for so long.
It's all going to come down to Reimer and goaltending this year though. If he continues to play solid then they can expect good things.

Reimer had some horseshoes up his bum last night, 3-4 chances that could easily have been goals. Although same could have been said for Price, but that's hockey.

I understand the pressure you must feel now. Crosby is still out, you are just coming off an injury, and that Conn Smyth win is only a few years ago and fresh in everyones mind. Second overall pick behind Ovey, Cup champion as well, I get that as well. And when you score 80 or so points this year, providing you are healthy all season, I'll be happy for you.
But for the love of all fuck, keep the puck on your stick and GTFO off the ice. Jesus christ, you were on the ice for close to 4 minutes, drifting along on a PP, trying way to hard to make something happen, only for the puck to go off your stick, and you just drift around some more. Sedin's tying goal, you could have at least tried to make a play instead of just watching him put it top cheddar on your goalie. I'm sure Fluery was happy with your perfect view of the puck while his view was blocked.
But don't worry Geno. It is perfectly ok. Crosby is back soon and he will sooner or later get you another cup ring.

I think he looked really good last night. Strong with the puck, making crisp passes and had a couple good shots. Playing with Giroux is the best thing for him.
I won't be surprised if Jagr is productive, especially given that he's got talent around him and won't be asked to carry the load. I do worry about the physical grind of an NHL season wearing on him though. I get the why the Carter and Richards deals, but I'm not convinced yet that they won't be missed through the season...
