The Vampire Diaries Season 2....

I don't really like season 2. It's had its moments with Damon, but this werewolf shit is getting dumb, Mason died way too early and these wolfs were supposed to be a great deal, yet boom, everyone one of them is dead outside of two.
 
I watched season 1 after Buzzman reviewed it in his thread and really enjoyed it, a good storyline with lots of twists, plus Nina Dobrev is sexy.....I only watched the first 4-5 episodes of season 2 and stopped because I didn't like it.
 
The first 2 seasons are now available to stream instantly through Netflix...just in time because I was going to start giving season 2 another chance.
 
Even if you're in a slump on Season 2 pull through.

Season 3 has been amazing. At this point every character on the show has been pulled into the supernatural stuff, so it's rare that you'll run into a scene where the story isn't pushed forward. Even Vicky's brother, the lamest guy on the show is pretty tolerable now.
 
It's funny because I checked Netflix yesterday and it only had season 1 available for streaming, I figured that as because season 2 recently came out on DVD so they wanted to wait until sales slumped. Then I checked again today and season 2 was up...winning!

It kinda is shocking how Jeremy and Matt were the two dullest characters on the show and this season they finally found something for them to do.

This guy who plays Klaus is wonderful.
 
Wow, so people here really like this, eh? I kind of avoided it due to 1) vampire malaise; and 2) it looked a little too CW for me.

So it is worth giving it a shot? It isn't a lot of vampire angst right?

Like I've said before, if you can put up with whatever has become of True Blood, then you can watch this. Just got to make it through the slow 2 or 3 first episodes, but it's more then worth it.

There is some high school romance stuff, but it's not nearly on the level of Twilight. The show isn't gay like its name suggest. I do love a lot of shows that I'd never recommend because I know how bad they are. This isn't one of them though...if that means anything.

I stopped Watching TB after like 4 episodes into season 3, would you say I would like it if I really liked TB season 1 and liked season 2 for the most part?
 
the early episodes of Vampire Diaries is actually Twilight level bad, but about 9-10 episodes into season 1, something clicked and the show actually started developing its characters and turned it into a fucking awesome show. This shows flashback episodes are some of the most vital and best episodes a series can have. If you don't mind a bit of cheesiness in certain circumstances, you'll get to the good juicy entertaining shit.
 
Yeah they definitely toned the romance WAY down after the early part of season 1 and since then the storyline is really good and there's a twist in pretty much every episode. I have about 7 more episodes to go in season 2 then I gotta catch up on 3.

it was revealed that Alaric is Klaus.....serious WTF moment, made the reason why he killed Elijah much more obvious, but I kind of feel like one of the older vampires would have recognized him. If I didn't have to leave for work right when I got done I would've watched the next episode immediately, just got back and am going to do it now haha.


Perfect example of the kinds of twists this show has.

What's the title/number of the episode you're on now?
 
Just wrapped up season 2....I thought the seasons were 24 episodes long so I was pretty disappointed after I got done s2e22 and it ended haha, starting season 3 now.
 
Frustrating episode:irked:

Not sure how I feel about what happened yet, gotta wait till it starts up again.
