They couldn't considering the amount of violence, rape, etc. that goes down anyway.

I know AMC doesn't answer to the FCC but it's been said before that they'd still want sponsors for the show and that means some shit gets cut

...so for a guy like Otis to bite it, it wouldn't seem unlikely in a TV/Zombie Movie sense.

If you want to talk about unrealistic, look at how much blood Rick game without going into shock/a coma/dying and then having him just walk around like it was nothing when Shane came back with the supplies.

Hugo started to lose weight on Lost, but it was bc Locke started with the whole hatch thing and the bore started to thin out, but yea, once the hatch opened, it was open season for him, but he did try to lose weight later on, Dave though was a big part of him not having huge success, but there was that one chick helping him out before she got killed.
