The Walking Dead: The Game - Episode 3 Gets a Release Date

Lee's adventure continues this week first on PSN, plus iOS Episode 2 hits this Wednesday.


Telltale Games confirmed to IGN today that The Walking Dead: Episode Three – Long Road Ahead will release in North America tomorrow, Tuesday, August 28th on PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade, PC and Mac Wednesday, August 29th. Telltale also confirmed that The Walking Dead: Episode Two – Starved for Help, will release on Apple's App Store this Wednesday, August 29th. The PSN version will cost $4.99, but can be downloaded as a part of the PSN Season Pass option for $19.99 which includes all five episodes. The XBLA version will cost 400 MS Points as DLC within the original The Walking Dead XBLA release. PC/MAC players can buy the five-episode Season Pass for $24.99 (no ala carte) on the Telltale Games Store, or on Steam, Origin, Amazon PC Downloads, GameStop, and GameFly for the same $24.99 price. It's going to be $15 either way, right? It's up to you but the PS3 version supposedly looks better and has a better frame rate.

I started episode 1 and it definitely is worlds better than the 360 version, and the same as the PC.

It's a matter of patience for me...of which I'm guessing the Walking Dead will win out. Fuck this video game habit.
 
I just beat Episode 3.

Fuck your perception of what "fucked up" is from Episode 1 and 2 because Ep. 3 is a killer.

I never had so many WTF moments in one sitting for a game before and when I was done, shit hurt a little inside.

Maybe it's because of the investment I put into the characters of the game or just seeing how far the producers were willing to push the envelope... but I NEVER felt anything for a game or it's story before like this.

PLOT POINT SPOILERS (i.e., what I did according to the game):
 
I'm not kidding, stupid.
 

-I didn't shoot the pleading women in the street when me and Kenny raided the drug store one last time
-I didn't abandon Lilly to the Raider/Walker attack
-I fought Kenny on the train to calm his ass down a bit
-I didn't shoot Duck when he finally turned
-I didn't help Omid when him and his girl were running for the train... I didn't think about it at the time but I'd rather have another chick in the group to counter-act the Sausage Percentage.


There are SO MANY branching choices that I didn't even touch in the game yet for this Episode and it shows that either the game producers have a big tree of plot points to go over or this shit's gonna be a convoluted mess before it's all said and done.
