ok first of all, before ufc 100, brock lesnar was 75% successful on takedowns, and landed 86 strikes, and only 18 landed on him, so obviously he is applying that wrestling, and yes, he was an NCAA champion wrestler. Second of all, I don't see why people won't realize that first of all, couture is getting old, and isn't as good as he used to be, and second of all, that lesnar is too heavy and strong for almost everyone in the ufc to beat him, unless thay catch him with a submission. And no I'm not a fan of the WWE, I just think he's a beast and an exciting fighter... not to mention his quality post fight interviews lol

Brock looked pretty crisp still.. I dont know how much he was really gassing.. even if Joe Rogan says so. Brock seems to have some pretty solid cardio, I dont think he'd have too much trouble going 5 rounds especially if hes able to utilize the takedowns. Brock DID take Randy down twice in that fight..

There's a handful of Olympic level wrestlers in the UFC and guys that have just been in MMA a lot longer. It'll take some time for Brock to really reach his full potential, he's not there just yet. Which really is kinda scary to think about seeing how good he already is. Randy Couture basically out-wrestled him in their match tho, or at the very least the wrestling aspect was a draw. Brock might be the most powerful wrestler and he's one of the best wrestlers too, but he's not the top dog in MMA right now.

Lets see him out-wrestle Couture, Carwin, or Fedor first.

People are just going to keep knit picking at Lesnars victories until they realize he is actually as good as he is being sold to be. He has unusual power, an incredible athlete, and a great wrestler. You can't deny any of these things. He beat Frank Mir and Randy Couture, both were the best the UFC had to offer at the time and he beat them viciously. He didn't lay on them for a decision and he didn't pull a Tim Sylvia, spin it how you want... bottom line is he knocked them out.

That being said, I think all the guys Rob said would be fantastic matches. But to think anyone, hands down has the edge over Brock right now is mind boggling. Of course I'm not including Fedor but I think Brock would be a great match-up with Barnett, Overeem, or even Randy again.

Brock Lesnar is 6'3'' 265... Jared Allen of the Vikings is 6'6'' 270 if half the DE's from the NFL that are actually good came into the octogon I bet at least a good 2/3's of them would work Lesnars ass.

Brock Lesnar has not faught anyone really good besides Frank Mir, and they're both 1-1? Randy Couture is 46 years old? Heath Herring... really his record is 28-14 I wouldn't call that a "Great Record". Until Brock Lesnar beats some of the better HW fighters in the UFC I won't give him that much respect.

Sadly they are the best. Nog is over the hill and like Rob said before, looks like a zombie in the cage. Cro-Cop is having problems with beating heavyweights like Chieck Kongo and Gabriel Gonzaga. Carwin doesn't really have impressive wins under his belt yet. And Cain Velasquez has one decent win over Chieck Kongo... which wasn't all that impressive. Those are your top heavys in the UFC.

maybe because brock is a ncaa div I wrestling champ and wrestling is 1 of the best bases to have in MMA

if brock was not a wrestler in college he would already have 3 or 4 losses and be out of MMA

first of all, lesnar is not 265, he cuts down to 265, he is actually around 290 when the fight happens. Also, with that size, he still probably moves much faster than DE's from the NFL. And no, no one from the NFL would beat lesnar, wrong sport buddy

The wrestling fans have been defending Brock like he's their first born. No one is trying to take anything away from Brock, the guy is certainly legit. Saying Randy would win 3/5 means that he's only 1 fight better, so I don't see the huge diss there.
