^ Dont agree with that at all. Pro Bowl QB, WR now, RB that averages 4 ypc, solid O-line when healthy, and a Defense that under performed last year. The Defense will be our strength this year. I see the Hawks going 10-6 - 12-4 and contending.

It's not Todd Haley's decision, it's Scott Pioli's. And although he'll listen to his coach, Haley's no Bill Belichick, so Pioli will have final say on righting that disastrous ship in KC.

Therefore, Aaron Curry can go buy a Chiefs hat now and wear it to the draft.

I agree with this. Seattle not a 4-12 team.
They have been consistently strong.
I'd worry about the loss of Holmgren if I were a Hawks' fan though.
I think they overpaid Housh a tad, but that's been happening across the board this winter.
I wonder how that affects their thinking with the #4 pick now Hass?
My gut tells me they're gonna pass on Crabtree now.

I sadly agree about Crabtree.. but in speaking with a guy I know that's pretty close to the pulse of the team.. he still thinks Crabtree is a very realistic option with the 4th selection.

Basically Ruskell's goal this offseason was to address as many needs in FA as possible so they could take the best player thats on the board with the 4th pick.

I think Jason Smith is our preference, but I don't see him getting by the Rams.. so that would leave Raji (who has character flags and Ruskell shies away from those types of players), Sanchez (again.. character flags and underclassmen at QB), and Crabtree more than likely.

In other words.. we may be forced to take Crabtree if we can't trade down.. not that I would be upset at that by any means.

Stable franchise, good fanbase, right offence for Crabtree.
Seattle is not Cincy, Arizona (before 2009), Oakland or another nobody. They have been a damn solid organization.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was a big reason why we came hard at Housh. That way we can gamble on Crabtree and if he pays off.. we have one of the best WR corps in football, and if he doesn't.. well we have 3 decent veterans we can get by with.

I will say one thing about Tim Ruskell is.. when he identifies a need.. he addresses it. The moves may not work out all the time .. but he makes the effort.

I don't think he's quite done adding WR's after last years disaster.

Good pick-up. Housh is a tall receiver who can make plays for Seattle on 3rd downs and in the endzone.

In my opinion Seattle should take a good look at Eugene Monroe. He's a good athlete and excels in the passing game. He should be able to protect Hasselbeck.

Obviously if they don't take Monroe, I think they should get B.J. Raji. Even though, theirs something about this guy that screams "bust"

I would like for the Hawks to address their needs at D-Line and Safety. With the #4 pick a safety is out of the question. Raji might be the right pick IMO but it would be very, very intriguing to get Crabtree and hope he at least turns out to be a great compliment to TJ. Branch in the slot, or even Crabtree in the slot would be so much fun to watch. Plus that WR corp would help open up the running game more for J. Jones. Lets not forget Seattle has a great up and comer at TE too in Carlson.
