I dont buy games on the XBLA on release ever. I always wait for a discount or sale, but im buying Tony Hawk Day 1.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD gets THPS 3 content as DLC for $5

On July 18, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD kicks off the Summer of Arcade on Xbox Live. Around 30-45 days after launch, a $5 DLC pack will be added, full of select content from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.

Activision reps couldn't get into specifics on exactly what would be added, but we at least know Airport is one of the levels that made the cut, and that more pros will be included. If this all sounds familiar, it's because the Hawk himself pegged other games in the series as potential sources of DLC for Pro Skater HD.

For one, this game will probably be $60 by the time you get all the DLC.

I also think two or three FULL games is beyter than a half assed attempt at one game.

I was ecited about this initially because I played the shit out of THPS1 on PS1 but now I'll wait to see how the DLC works out. I also want to wait for the PS3 version because I couldn't imagine playing an old TH game on anything besides a PS controller.

for one that's purely speculative, but let's play devil's advocate and say you're right...there were actually 11 sequels released on major consoles for the THPS series, dont think TH RIDE and SHRED DLC will be hot sellers and no1 will be forcing you to buy Project 8 DLC if you dont really want it, but again this is All purely speculative on exactly how much DLC will be released for a Downloadable Arcade title.

So you think a simple HD conversion warrants playing $40 for a game you've most likely already bought last generation?

So if the game is $15 and DLC will be $5 a pop, are you saying they will release 9 DLC packs?

Duh. I told you that they are just going to try to milk people for DLC. I for one will not fall for that shit.

I did try the demo...all 60 seconds of it. Not impressed.

It says there is about 7 levels from the first two games (out of 16 total) and no park editor. Most reviews are saying for $15 its worth it based on how much time you'll spend on it. I won't be able to get it till Friday/Saturday anyways.

I can agree with that. I probably won't be downloading any DLC parks for it, but it's a good purchase for $15, and something that can always be used with people over.

Now that is a good point. Which is why I'll wait until it hits PS3 since most of my friends prefer the PS controller and even I can only imagine playing a Tony Hawk game with one.
