Um you said he can't be a one man show, even though he was 2 years ago. Marvin was out the entire season basically and Anthony was nothing special.

He had just as good of numbers as Steve Smith and CJ. Granted he plays with a better QB but can't penalize him for that.

what you are not getting is that im not saying it is a huge not against his game, thats buzzman. hes not a one man show type of receiver and thats okay, most guys arent. i just said that he isnt capable of having the whole receiving load put on him. he needs someone else besides Clark.

I get it, I'm telling you he is. He has done it before and the only reason he didn't last season was because our offense around him was much worse than it has been previously.

We'll see this season though. No need to argue anymore about it.

I just want to display my homerism by saying there is NOTHING Calvin Johnson cannot do and he should be the clear number one.

People dont understand how dominant he is. He was dominant not only in play but, in his situation on paper. He was the LIONS ONLY OFFENSIVE Threat next to kevin smith, and smith couldnt do much because the o line sucked. He had no number 2 next to him that was a threat. Mcdonald was solid, but wasnt always consistent. Once roy left CJ went on fire. I recall him having multiple 7 catch+ 100 yard+ games and not getting any mention of it. IMO, hes the number 2 receiver in the league.

I like andre johnson but believe it or not he isnt everything hes hyped to be. Yeah he has insane numbers, but he is utilized every other play. He gets the ball alot...and For him to get as many touches as he does, and with his size and body, he should get more TDs. People say the texans suck at the QB position, but they were a top 5(or 10) offense. And there coach now studied over Shanahan who has a history of having the ball in his playmakers hands at all times.

Although stats arent the end of all, but 78 catches 5th in receiving yards, 12 tds...tied for first next to fitzgerald, and 17.1 yards per catch on the worst team in nfl history. :confused2:

I used to think Wayne was very underrated until this year. Watching him after he took the #1 WR spot he struggled if you ask me. He still managed 1100 yards but he only scored 2 TDs the last 11 weeks and one was because the CB went for the pick and bounced off his hands right into Waynes. As a #1 I dont think he will get the job done, but as a number 2 he def can.

Number 1 as far as consideration, but he didnt line up at the number 1 spot often. Techniqually, hes been the number 1 for years now. Sort of like the situation in cincy with housh and chad. However, more often than not hes in the slot or y spot facing number 2 and 3 corners. Im not taking nothing from him though..i love him. One of my favorite possesion receivers in the league. But his inconsistency at times wasnt his fault..basically what the colt fans said previously is what went down.

Nice to see D-Bowe get some love, but he's still a year away from cracking this list, imo. He's close, though.

I hope so man. I think he'll either have a huge year because he's the #1 option now...or he could struggle a little bit with defenses paying a lot more attention to him now that Tony Gonzalez is gone. We'll see. Chiefs need him to step up big.

Cassel sucks? He may end up sucking but he has done nothing yet to definatly say he sucks

I think he will be a system quarterback who ends up being overpaid and overated at a new team but you cant say he sucks before its even started (by started i mean .... the face of the franchise .. "our quarterback" type deal)

1. Randy Moss - The most gifted wide receiver to ever play the game. He will put up enormous numbers once again this season playing with Brady.
2. Larry Fitzgerald - Gets a lot more attention now after the playoffs but he's always been great. The only thing he lacks Randy has is the elite speed.
3. Andre Johnson - Total beast and one of my favorite players, even if he plays for a division rival. Would put up even bigger numbers if the Texans had consistent QB play.
4. Calvin Johnson - Freak of nature, may be more gifted than Randy because he's built like a tank. Will eventually take over #1, just a matter of when.
5. Steve Smith - The best in the league at going up and snatching the ball.
6. Brandon Marshall - Expect his numbers to drop quite a bit this year. He's still done enough at this point to warrant this position IMO.
7. Roddy White - I thought he was overrated before last season but he proved me wrong. He and Matt Ryan will be lethal for years.
8. Reggie Wayne - Underappreciated for years. One of the most consistent WR's in the game today.
9. TO - Touchdown machine. Drops a few too many balls though.
10. Anquan Boldin - Great after the catch and over the middle.

Really? He takes one of the hardest hits you'll ever see, breaks half his face, and nearly catches the ball and you're using that against him?

Fitz can be a dominant possession WR and control the middle of the field running short slants all day. Moss has never proven he can do that.

Like someone else said, it makes no sense to send Moss across the middle. He's talented enough to run vertical routes the entire game and still make nearly everyone look stupid.

I love Fitz too, though.
