At the end of the day, the price point of Arcade games is a stupid argument because a "good" price is just as subjective as taste in the games. I would have paid $40 for Shadow Complex, however, I doubt I will buy something like Skullgirls even if it is $5 because I just don't find it appealing.

I can see why some would be turned off by this game based on frustrating difficulty alone; I'm not really that good at it to be honest. However, with the addition of multiplayer and a better constructed track creation/share mechanism, this game is worth every Microsoft point I payed for it.

My point is that I thought the first game was vastly overrated. I thought the difficulty was mind numbingly ridiculous and the game itself was nothing to write home about. I believe it was also $15? I remember regretting the download hours fater buying it. This game looks to have more content and I'm sure is better but I still don't think it's worth $15.

Seth, would you feel better if I'd be willing to pay $5?

My point is I don't care WHAT you pay for it dude, that's on you. YOU are the one that spends so much time talking about what something should or shouldn't be worth, yet you're the same guy that most likely STILL owns games that haven't even been opened yet. Why would you argue about value proposition when you don't even play all of the games that you buy? Unless you're just looking for a reason to rage? I said it in another thread, but I will repeat: have a coke and a smile and relax. It's just video games. They're supposed to be fun. Buy what you want, don't buy what you don't want, but at the end of the day don't make silly arguments about the value of $5 dollars.

Agreed. I couldn't agree more. But this is also a message board where people post their opinions. This whole thread was about Trials and "Who's getting it?!?" I replied that I will probably get it when it drops to $10, because I'm sure it will go on sale in a few months. But god forbid I have that opinion. I didn't realize this thread was only for people that want to suck this games dick and think it's the best game ever made.

As for having loads of unopened games, that's true. But I stopped buying new games severl months ago and because I have such a tremendous backlog and games go on sale so quickly anyway.

I never really played the first one (I can't remember now why) but had a good time playing this for the 2 hours I put into it last night.

Problem was their servers were down when I was first starting out so it never saved my times from most of the early tracks online. Oh well at least I have to go back and gold them anyways.

The multiplayer (when it finally came back up) is fun and I found the custom tracks to be an excellent time waster.

It's not that I don't like it, it's that I think the series is highly overrated. It's a good game, but not the "OMG I need this game now!" game that a lot of people seem to have. Which is why I wouldn't mind picking it up when it went on sale. The one thing that I think is fucking awesome about the game is the track editor which could basically give the game limitless replayability. But that also just means even more sadistic mfers making tracks that will make me want to pull even more of may hair out.

I played through the beginner section and the first track of the next and I will say that this time around, the game is more forgiving in terms of crashing (you can be almost flipped over , yet drag yourself on your rear fender. I have recovered this way). So far, its less frustrating.

I think we need to get together and play. I haven't tried multiplayer , so I don't know how good the tracks are since the beginning tracks are as good as they are, I imagine they get tons better.

I don't know if its just because I play on such a large screen but I have felt my stomach sink as I was falling.

I know they wanted to make it more accessible, but I wish some of the last track were a bit more challenging to complete. Obviously it would be very difficult to gold medal them, but they are no where near as difficult as most of the expert tracks in the first one.

Agreed. The higher level tracks are completable, but to get gold medals will take skill/practice. Also, I noticed the checkpoints seem closer to each other on many of the difficult tracks.
